Well, it looks like this place is a spot for a buffet. BUT if you place a delivery order like I did the food is awful. I ordered shrimp lo mein, house soup for two and the special dumplings. All 3 were tasteless! I guess the money is in the buffet and they could care less about any other orders. I was staying at a hotel so, they must have figured I won't be back. How true that is! Even though I visit this community often. Stay away if you expect decent food for an individual order. Their focus is obviously on the buffet only.
Come by your local Noodles & Company at 1590 Robert Street South, , West St Paul where its globally inspired dishes including noodles, soups and salads, come together to create a World Kitchen.
My fiancé forgot his wallet here and he had a lot of cash in it. An employee found it, tried to flag him down but missed him. The employee immediately gave it to a manager where they locked in the safe until we got it the next day. High praises for the honestly of an employee (nothing was missing) and the procedure taken when found his wallet :)

I like spicy Szechewan dinners with lots of heat. My kids like the equivalent of Chinese chicken McNuggets. This is one of the few restaurants where we all have exactly what we want and generally take home enough for lunch the next day. This is a family run place that seems to draw the Asian population of the city--every time I go there's conversation in another language at the next table. The staff are courteous and the place is crispy clean. Both the lunch and dinner menus include soup to start with a choice of chicken noodle or the excellent hot and sour soup, both with tender julienned carrots.Entrees come with a choice of chicken wing or wontons and brown or white rice. For the past five years I've been there at least weekly for lunch. Two of us order and the bill is about $13 total. They cheerfully box up leftovers that are plenty for dinner, and we're not people with modest appetites. Like many of the great neighborhood places, the exterior is nothing special. It's sandwiched between a Perkins and the Lebanese restaurant, which is also quite good. But you can't miss it; it's located right on Robert Street, the major thoroughfare and about 7 minutes south of downtown St Paul.
We stopped in for Pho before taking my daughter back to college. We were pleased with the options. I had the chicken noodle and my daughters had the beef noodle. (once you are served you add flavors according to what you want, including sprouts and cilantro from a tray that comes with your meal). Really flavorful broth and good meat and noodles. My husband tried a hot and sour soup and was disappointed with the hot-spiciness --said next time he will stick with the more traditional options. They have soft-serve ice cream you can have at the end of the meal if you want. Great service, great food, great prices --oh and a lunch buffet if you prefer that. We will be returning!

As a few of my friends are not Sushi fans, I ventured here on my own. I entered through the skyways which takes you on a winding path but nice that you can get there in the winter without having to go outside. The restaurant is large and the skyway entrance just kind of dumps you in the back of the restaurant so i made my way up and found the hostess. I was seated in what i will call the main room with a large bar in the center. It was a sunny day and bright inside. The walls have modest adornment and the opposite ends of the spectrum from Kyatchi in Minneapolis. I ordered the Combination Sushi($16) which comes with a small bowl of soup. I was informed it is customary to drink the soup straight from the bowl - no need for a spoon. Service was a bit sparse, especially as there wasn't much of a crowd. the table next to me had to ask for a refill of soda, despite it being left on the edge of the table for quite awhile and my water glass sat empty for half of my meal. It also took about 10 minutes to pay for my meal... I may have caught Sakura on an off day for service but the food was delicious, would definitely go back.

We have enjoyed this multiple times as a wonderful place for Chinese food. The food is prepared with the vegetables crispy and the sauces are very tasty. The server was friendly and helpful, offering suggestions based on our preferences. I highly recommend A & L Chinese Restaurant.

Iâve been coming here for years. Duc has awesome egg rolls and I often come in just to get those. Friendly service and family owned.

There was nothing extra special about this restaurant. It was decent food at a decent price with large portions. We had two of the lunch specials; pepper beef w/onions and egg foo young. The only complaint we had was that the wontons served with the egg drop soup were stale. Two giant egg foo young patties with a gravy served on the side, which I appreciated. It's a huge menu so there's something for everyone.

This family run place has been around forever. It's been a staple for my wife's family since she was little and we enjoy the food there to this day. I had better Chinese, but it is good food and I enjoy it every time
