A great find, A Thai Red or Green Curry, cooked in front of your eyes by Lisa for only 6⬠The Chicken Satay only 1.5⬠really is that cheap, however the quality of the food is not cheap. Only takeaway. Really good value for money especially when compared to other Thai places around Sotogrande, have been several times and will carry on going. No problem in recommending to all as a safe bet. Call before and collect in 15-20mins.

Best Indian in the area. Knocks The Ivory into a cocked hat. Food is delicious, staff very helpful and friendly, and once you;ve been there a couple of times, they'll remember your order. Unless you love salt, just remember to say 'sin sal' when ordering, they do like the 'white stuff'! If there's something missing from the menu, just ask. If they have the ingredients, they'll do it for you.

Arriving in Guadiaro on Sunday evening, we found our target restaurant had closed down, and most other options were closed (Sunday not being a peak evening for eating out in Spain). Restaurant Alonso was the only place that seemed to be open, so we thought we would give it a try.It is by no means sophisticated dining, but it provides some interesting options, being run by a Spaniard and his Philppino wife. We had two courses and coffee and a bottle of wine. (scrambled eggs with mushrooms, Prawns 'pyjama' - similar to spring rolls, only with prawns, and pork with garlic, and pork with mustard). The service was attentive and friendly, total bill was 65 euros including tip, though we accidentally had a bottle of red Muga instead of the white we'd ordered, which bumped the bill up by 10 euros, as we ended up splitting the difference on the cost. We ate outside, which was pleasant and relatively quiet.

Sawadee is a Thai Restaurant with Thai chefs who create a large range of super dishes. The menu changes on a regular basis and has lots of variety. There are vegetarian options and each dish can be prepared to whatever spice level the customer requires. A
As lovely the owners are and the atmosphere with a live singer (who was so bad that it was already funny again) THIS RESTAURANT IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE WHEN THINGS CAN GO WRONG.......their menu is by far too big to be fresh, then they try to have too many styles, from Caribbean to Swedish, and on everything pineapple, its ridiculous. The starters were really good and tasty, the mains, and I mean the mains of 7 people all to forgetSorry you didnât like the singer. We have various singers so it would be good to know which one you thought was so bad. Every dish in the restaurant is prepared freshly for our customers which makes us rather unique. Our variety of choice keeps customers interested rather than most restaurants whose customers know what they are having before they get there Maybe you would be better off sticking to your usual boring restaurants that provide zero atmosphere, frozen packaged food and donât provide entertainment for the quests. Funny though, you ate everything, drank everything and danced until the early hours

Gourmet restaurant specializing in tapas, hot and cold breakfasts, traditional food, sushi, fresh fish and prime meats.
Casa Moncayo is a simple, basic restaurant/coffee bar in Pueblo Nuevo. Not particularly trendy or smart, but it is our go-to place for breakfast. They do excellent eggs and bacon, also really good scrambled eggs with toasted country bread. Naturally they do the tomato and toast breakfast which is very tasty. The coffee is always good. Prices are much lower than on the marina in Sotogrande and it's much more Spanish, there never appear to be many English people there. Service can be a bit slow (not unusual in Spain!), there only ever appears to be one waiter on duty. He does always provide service with a smile! We've had the occasional lunch here, nothing exciting but fine for a quick meal.

Korma Restaurant Hindú Sotogrande
We have our favourite Indian Restaurants pretty established, but in need of a quick bite to eat last minute, we plumped for our nearest local, which I add we haven't actually tried before. Service was very prompt & efficient.A lamb Balti was fragrant and with pretty tender meat - but missing a little freshness with an absence of green herbs, but plenty of lemon, ginger & tomatoes. A chicken Korma was nice & tender but probably a little lacking in punch, just a little too safe in cream and nut and not enough seasoning. The pilau rice was superb though, a Pershwari Naan was a little soggy, however, it was foil wrapped for takeaway.I don't think our experience is sufficient to form a view one way or the other, so we'd give it the benefit of the doubt and would come back again.
