Visited this restaurant after it was recommended to my husband. We'd heard amazing things about the food so when it didn't live up to expectations we were disappointed.Firstly we were shoved in a corner downstairs. the decor was shabby & we mainly saw & heard the kitchen door opening & closing & the staff in the book. i think this area would be better served as a bar/waiting area. I ordered the butterfly prawn starter - it was £6.95 for TWO prawns. wasn't pleased. at least 3 is reasonable & 4 would be ideal. they were fairly tasty. i'm not sure why you would serve bits of shredded lettuce & carrots as a salad with this prawns as well as a dollop each of chilli & mint sauces. the prawns are cooked in butter. they shouldn't be mixed with these sauces. my husband had fish pakoras which were greasy & thin pieces of fish that had little flavour. i think they were tilapia. we got my son sheekh kebabs which were underseasoned & had red food colouring in them. his chips were nice.mains were much better. i had the punjabi murgh (chicken & mince) it was meant to be spicy but wasn't. it was a nice dish but they used chicken tikka pieces like any other curry house. i hate that, for over £12 i would expect proper chicken pieces. price of this dish was ridiculous. husband had lamb daal spinach which was quite tasty because it was a bit different but nothing special.Naan & Chapattis weren't soft & fluffy & the naan was quite crispy. no butter or anything on it either.Bill came to just over £56 (3 soft drinks no alcohol). which was a bit on the pricier side for what it was.staff were attentive & polite.a nice enough visit but won't be rushing back. i can order this type of curry on just eat & it would be a lot cheaper. i hope this review was constructive enough as i don't want any backlash from the restaurant

I was treating my son and his girlfriend to a meal out and I have no experience of Japanese cuisine so was looking forward to my meal. The restaurant is small and crammed with tables. We had booked ahead. We were sat virtually on the doormat and when I asked to sit at the only other empty table, I was told it was booked. The waitress did not smile and was not welcoming in any way. It appeared to me that she didn't want to be there. The starters took a while to appear and the first 2 came and we had to wait 10 minutes for the third. No explanation or apology was given. No water was offered and when we asked for some, she brought one glass of water and we had to ask for the other 2 glasses. The main courses were brought out spread over 10 minutes. Again no explanation for the wait. We were the last to leave the restaurant and the waitress had disappeared by then so she did not thank us for our custom.I am used to eating in restaurants where the staff are welcoming and make you feel your custom is appreciated. The food was tasty but the experience was spoiled by the cramped tables and the poor service.

As a group of mates, we have been eating at Indian restaurants for nearly thirty years, and this is one of our favourites. Great customer service combined with superb food and very good value. Well worth a try in our opinion.

Short review. Nice waiting staff and nice range of meals. It was ok but lacking a bit of flavour. I would go again though and give the place another chance.

Absolutely blown away by this little gem of a restaurant. Could fault nothing. Looks inviting from the outside and we received a warm welcome inside. Spotless including toilets. Tastefully decorated. Lovely ambiance. Service just as we like it. Food was the best we had tasted in a long time. Excellent presentation and piping hot. Tuesday is a special offer night. £9.99 for popadom and dips, choice of starter, main, rice or bread. We thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Bring your own booze option was a nice surprise. Shop a couple of doors down to buy. Highly recommended.

Stuck in Solihull overnight. Curry needed. TripAdvisor consulted and walking distance acceptable. Well what a find! Perfect portion size. Perfect spicing and different to our normal West Yorkshire offerings. Staff were fantastic. Spoke to the boss as well who was very keen to ensure we had enjoyed our meal. 28 covers. Above their takeaway. Highly recommended.
