If you are from north india and know your food, Kohinoor will disappoint big time. No dish tasted authentic. The butter paneer was terrible, dal makhani as dry as a fast food chain burger, chana masala under average. Breads were big in size but tasted average. Service and staff are very good, food isnât.

The restaurant is a little bit hidden in a small street but was close to my hotel so decided to give it a try. The sushi is quite good and at a very reasonable price so definitely iâd recommend it!Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your visit at our place. We hope to visit us again while in Bulgaria.

The first restaurant that opened its doors in our capital was Happy Budapest. The restaurant operates from 28th May 2000, and has since pleased its clients with unique Happy specialties, among which authentic Japanese sushi, prepared by our sushi chef. In
First of all, best tzatziki I have found outside of Greece. Second, it was a mess. Huge menu, you can get greek, burgers, sushi, I think if you asked the chef for spaghetti he could make you some, so if you need a place to eat with picky eaters, go here. Then the issue, you will not get your meals at the same time. My partner got his gyros first and he was our victim, as we started picking from his plate while we waited. By the time the second dish came (a burger) his plate was empty so we ordered another burger for him. Then my dish came, and then the second burger. The time in between was way too long. Now with the prices in Bulgaria I don't mind ordering 4 main courses for 3 people, but the besides that we picked from his plate, the portions were small for Bulgarian standards. Normally I am overwhelmed by their lack of portion control, but here it is very safe to get a 3 course meal. So in the end it was nice, but there are way better places to eat in Sofia.Thank you for your words, your opinion is very important to us. It is the thing that makes us continue to be ever so good at what we do. Regarding the non-positive comment from your side, we would like to send you our sincere apologies and to assure you that we will do the best tо adjust ourselves in the shortest time. This restaurant has gone its ups and downs, our lunch today was at the peak of Indian taste, diversity of meals and quality. The menu is updated with several new meals. We opted for Malai Chicken Tikka masala - gorgeous and properlyspiced. Nans, matar paneer pulao and firni were very tasty. Obviously some arrangements with ventilation were done, as stink is pretty much reduced. The waitress was very sweet and kind. Foresee that Taj Mahal will return back in top 10 Sofia restaurants.

Went to the restaurant two times and will go there again for sure. First time the restaurant was full, second time there were 2-3 tables occupied. Both times the service was great. First time we were served by a girl - she was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients of the dishes. Second time served by Nikolai - super polite! The atmosphere is very calm, pleasant music, no hustle and The food is excellent! We took chicken curry with rice, rice with shrimp, sea food salad. Everything fresh and delicious! The curry sauce is a bouquet of flavors! We will definitely come back.

I recommend to sit outside especially in summer. The food is really tasty and good quality. They have a lot of different dishes as well as options for people who heave problema with allergens. The atmosphere with typical music makes the diner feel like being in Nepal. The staff is very polite, helpful and kind, this is also a good fact especially in Bulgaria. In short, a great experience for Sofia.

Was a bit of a walk from the Airbnb but we found it. Looks like a walk up in an apartment building.Itâs nicely done inside and looks a bit upscale. Nice and simply decorated. We ordered the green curry with chicken medium spice and the pad Thai with chicken very spicy. Added a side of egg fried rice too. The pad Thai was not bad, as was the fried rice, all smaller plates than in the states, thatâs a food thing to avoid overeating. They brought out a brass pale with a sterno to keep my green curry warm. The waitress wasnât super warm or friendly but I think the language barrier might have played apart. The green curry sauce was rich and creamy and flavorful. Keep in mind they charge you $3 for jasmine rice for any of your dishes. Dear Nika,Thank you for coming to our restaurant and your positive review. I just wanted to add that Steamed jasmine rice cost around 1,7$ and Fried jasmine rice with egg is 3$. I wish you a pleasant stay in Bulgaria and hope to see you again.BR,

Great choice of wine to compliment your lunch / dinner. One of Sofia's hidden gems! A must visit for any foodie in town. Fresh seasonal ingredients cooked to perfection! Hats off to the chef - must visit! Great and high quality food and amazing experience
We visited Nikoâlas two weeks ago on a family reunion dinner. Itâs a cozy family run restaurant with a great sense of hospitality and eye on details. It was a pleasing experience because of chef Tsvetomir Nikolov and his bespoke culinary creations merging Asian savours in Bulgarian traditional dishes. We ordered the 5-course tasting menu which finally turned into 8 perfect plates accompanied with pairing wines of small Bulgarian wineries.I provide some pictures of them as I couldnât follow all surprises which came from the kitchen of chef Nikolov.Thank you so much for your kind review. We'll be glad to welcome you again
