Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Sochi. The biggest resort town on what's called the "Russian Riviera," Sochi is preparing to step onto the world stage as the host of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Somewhat ironically, Sochi is really quite temperate for most of the year, with its Black Sea waters warm and swimmable well into October. The Arboretum and Riviera Park are among the city’s most popular destinations. Serving as a beautiful backdrop for Sochi are the Caucasus Mountains, home to the nearby snow skiing resort of Krasnaya Polyana.

This restaurant was excellent! Convieniently just off the main beach prominade, but tucked away in its own private forest, overlooking the sea... the view is magnificent! The chairs and tables, the architecture, the cusions, music and food all give an authentic, Central Asian atmosphere. The service was great and food was presented beautifully... my tomato garnish was fashoined into a rose! I ordered a delicious salad and main course, but still to this day I have no idea what I ate as the menu was in Russian- but, it does contain useful pictures. I think it all certainly looked pretty tasty. I loved the flavours they put in the dressings and sauces! Look for the signs when trying to find this restaurant, then follow the arrows up a steep flight of stone stairs which opens out into this secluded restaurant on a cliff face. Consequently it's not very wheelchair friendly, but no-where in Sochi really is due to the landscape leading upto the beach-front.
