Enjoy authentic Teppanyaki dining in Palm Desert, CA at Mikado Japanese Steakhouse located in the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa Dining. We offer a classic Japanese menu with locally grown ingredients and a sushi bar.
12 of my family members met up in Palm Desert California and we ate out the first night at Mikado. The age range was from four years old to 72 years old, with the four-year-old not normally staying in one place for longer than five minutes. They took our order and then our chef came to the table to cook our food in front of us. We have done restaurants like this many, many times because my five grandchildren love the entertainment that accompanies the eating. Well, no one was prepared for how funny our chef would be. He told jokes and constantly interacted with everyone at the table. So much so, that even after almost 2 hours, the four-year-old had not moved an inch from his seat. He not only told jokes, but interacted with everyone so it was a floor show as well as a meal. It was pricey, I will say that. However, I felt like I was not only paying for dinner for 12, but also play paying for a night of in entertainment for 12 as well. It was loud, crazy and fun for all of us. And to top it off, the food was really good!Dear Guest,Thank you for such a prefect review. We truly appreciate all feedback that is provided to us! We look forward to welcoming you again whether for business or pleasure.

Wow! This is the place for me. Build your own poke bowl with many choices. They have many fish choices plus tofu, topping choices, sauces, brown or white rice or spinach, just so many options. Service was great, too. This restaurant idea is so good that I hope that it grows.

We serve fresh sushi sashimi and teriyaki .tempura .udon soup .yaki soba . ramen soup.sake . Wine. Bear. And cocktails and more
I just received marketing mail from Joyce's Sushi. All Christian- calendar with Bible verses on every month's page, business card with Bible verse numbers, etc. I regard this as totally unacceptable. As a result, you can be sure that I will intentionally avoid this restaurant. Religion should be a personal thing and not foisted upon others, particularly in business.

533 Viet Fusion is a top rated restaurant on Zagat, LA Eater and Forbes. We feature local sourced ingredients and house made sauces. We offer a variety of selections including vegetarian and gluten free options.
Except for their Martini glass food items which are only $5.33 at lunch, much of their menu is expensive but their food is excellent. I ordered several dishes and thought everything was food. Iâd go back and try more Martini glass food items (food that comes in a martini glass and is a nice sized portion). Mostly good service, and a nice location.

There seems to be a change at Manhattan. Meals are still good and portions very generous but it seems that there is less staff making service a bit less attentive.Meals arenât inexpensive but you usually have enough for two meals.FrenchFries are the best in the desert!

Serving authentic local Bangkok Thai cuisine in the greater Palm Spings area of the Coachella Valley. Our dishes are freshly prepared when ordered to ensure the highest quality and freshest authentic taste.
My husband and I ate here and ordered 2 dishes along with an appetizer. The pad thai noodles were quite delicious and included chicken and shrimp in it. The dish was beautifully presented to boot. We also ordered a beef dish with green beans and it, too, was very well prepared and executed.Service was very good for a busy night and the staff worked hard to accommodate people as quickly as they could. I would not hesitate to return for another visit.

Welcome!!! Exit bustling Highway 111, pass the waterfall, cross the red footbridge over the golden koi and enter the delightful world of Japanese dining at Kobe Japanese Steak House. Experience the excitement and distinctive flavors of our authentic Japan
For me this is an special occasion restaurant which means it is too expensive to visit on regular basis. Dinner for two with two drinks came to almost $180 per couple including tip. But you can spend less if you skip the drinks and don't have an appetizer. This was Valentine's Day so we had reservations. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered drinks and waited about 10 minutes for them to come out. Their drink prices are reasonable and about the same as most restaurants of this quality, We choose to have an appetizer before dinner-enhanced California rolls. For the cost, they were on the expensive side for 8 rolls, maybe about $5 or $6 more than most places. They were good but not that good. The issue was they took so long to come out that some of the dinner was being served at the same time. 3 of us ordered the NY steak and pawns dinner and one ordered the chicken and pawns dinner. I suggest that you have the fried rice and not the white rice but it costs almost $6 extra which is about $3 more than it normally should be. Everyone enjoyed their food and there was plenty of it, including dessert, as we took some home. Our chef was friendly and talkative. They all put on the same show at this type of restaurant. This was nothing special. I would say come here for special occasions like Valentine's day, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Be prepared to spend some money for a meal that is very good but not extraordinary.

We reserved on Open Table, only to find that this location of Thai Smiles is not associated w. O. Table. (?) They did find us a table tho. A female chef, portions were very ample & beautifully prepared & tasty. Of note, we enjoyed the BEST sticky rice with mango we have ever experienced. Our waitress Kibb was great too.

The service was a little slow but a waiter from another section noticed and came over and took my order. I had the little ribs app and it was great. I had the orange chicken and fried rice. Also great. And their mai tai was awesome. A great spot.

After sampling several restaurants with foreign influences, we found a Japanese restaurant and were surprised to find a hot pot style of food. They serve only wine and beer. We were instructed how to use the vegetables, noodles, meats and sauces and enjoyed the entire process of the dining process. We are proficient with chop sticks but at times the wooden ones furnished didnât feel strong enough to fish the broth soaked meat out of the pot. We plan to return next year though as we had a good time, perhaps with our own chop sticks.
