I was very much looking forward to eating here. The window display in this small restaurant/cafe is fantastic. Itâs lined with fresh fish and is really appealing. The staff were friendly enough, and thatâs just about where my positive views on Prawn in the Lawn end.The cost of lunch here and the incredulous booking/cancellation fees are where my whole experience just turns sour.We had 4 oysters, 1 side of potatoes, 5 prawns, 2 langoustine and a large bottle of water. This totalled £60.After my disappointment, my recommendation is to try one of the other many great places to eat in Padstow and the surrounding areas. We ate at Rick Steinâs Seafood Restaurant and Nathan Outlawâs Fish Kitchen and enjoyed both of those. The issue is not the cost, itâs the feeling of being ripped off.

Visited on a Friday night with some friends. Luckily we had booked a table - it was very busy.We ordered mixed starters between us which was a good selection of spring rolls, chicken satay etc.For mains, we had Pad Gaprow and Pad Priow Waan. All of the food was delicious.The general ambience in the restaurant is very relaxed. The staff are friendly and efficient.Although it was very busy, the food was served with only a slight delay. It didn't matter, we were happy chatting.You order the food at the bar - so what? Overall and great experience; highly recommended and we will defintely return!

Visited with family. The place did not appear a traditional Indian resultant inside however looked nice, clean and tidy. Food was nice but lacked presentation. The main thing that let it down was the service. When I visit an Indian restaurant, I would generally expect to spend at least 1-2 hours in, maybe longer. However the staff in this restaurant rushed us too much, throwing plates and drinks down rather than placing them. All this meant we were in and out within 40 minutes. An Indian restaurant is normally meant to be a relaxing experience but this was spoilt by the stress brought to your table from being surrounded by staff that insisted on running and shouting through the restaurant and throwing food down. The staff however were polite just need to slow down to provide a better service. I would happily wait longer for good service not to feel stressed whilst eating my meal because of the stressful and loud atmosphere. The food was quite expensive.

Really looked forward to visiting here but was a bit disappointed as the food was average, the service was excellent and the waitress friendly and observant to checking our needs for wine, extras etc. Very clean, didn't like the lights directly over the tables. Scruffy car park and gravelly walk along lane to the entrance with quite a few steps to the door.
