This place? In a nondescript strip mall? IT IS AN OASIS! Each time I've enjoyed their sushi, I've never been disappointed. Amazing. Delish. Out of this world. Not only the quality the fish, the execution of each piece but the presentation is like nowhere else.

Thai Golden is a family-owned restaurant and cafe located in Carmel, New York. In a no-frills space, we pride ourselves on serving the finest and freshest home style Thai cuisine in the Lower Hudson Valley area. With the expansion in 2016, the cafe additi
Weâve dined at Thai Golden about a dozen times; weâve enjoyed many of the staples like the Drunken noodles, Red curry, pad Thai, etc. We decided to return this evening as we wanted a change from the typical Italian, Pub, Steak and potato fare we tend to enjoy more frequently. Tonight we decided to try something different, and so in addition to ordered some of the staples, we considered the Thai Hoisin baby back ribs as well. We inquired of the waitress whether this was a recommended choice, and were assured that it was a favorite. We were incredulous when a plate arrived with 4 scrawny little ribs in a plate of sauce and a few ancillary veggies. Mind you, this was a full entree we ordered, not an appetizer. We inquired and hinted to the waitress our dissatisfaction, but our concerns were not acknowledged.Itâs a shame because I really liked this restaurant and had recommended it in the past. But there comes a point where a restaurant falls short, far short, of attempts to turn a fair profit and instead resorts to utter ripoff. I canât imagine any customers being served 4 mini-ribs for $17 plus tax and tip and deciding to return for more anytime soon. Weâll be taking a nice long break from Thai Golden for sure. Iâm hoping management gets the hint and reverts back to the tasty, fair value restaurant they used to be. Iâd love to return to that restaurant someday.

Tonightâs visit was our first and certainly will not be our last. We are curious to try everything on their menu. Their âginger dumplingsâ with a perfect accompanying sauce, is a must! The Spring Rolls were superior. A very tasty âSticky Beefâ appetizer, tender beef on a stick, was 90% super, but, unfortunately about 10% tough gristle. Hopefully they can fix that. Tracy, our very friendly server, was very helpful. As to atmosphere, it could not be more basic. The noise level is high. The restaurant is BYO, which is a plus. (If you forgot to bring a bottle of wine with you, we noticed that there is a shop next door.)

Had a selection of tapas (small plates). Flamenquines (breaded pork filled with ham and Manchego cheese), Raxo (pork cubes with fried potatoes and sweet peppers), and a few others. Very satisfying. Good caipirinhas (Bazilian drink) rum, lime juice & sugar.Nice desserts too. Service was attentive and friendly.
The ambiance is nothing special and the location is unprepossessing, but what a sweet meal we had. Sweet and sour soup with just the right viscosity, an egg roll stuffed with ingredients and flavor, fresh, fresh tender-crisp vegetables and shrimp so perfectly cooked it melts in your mouth. We've had lots of good Chinese food over the years but what sets this restaurant apart is the owners. Juan and Lily serve their customers with such care, calling most by name and asking about kids and jobs and health. They obviously love this community and the people in it. They were the best part of an already good day.Thank you choosing us. It is pleasure to serve you. God bless you and your family!

New Grace is VERY good, and I can't give it less than four stars. Awesome wonton soup- love their broth. Great fried noodles, fried rice, and interesting vegetable dishes. Simple menu. Not your average Chinese restaurant; don't go expecting General Tso's chicken. I'm a regular, definitely will be back.

The restaurant was pretty empty. The music loud. We asked them to turn it down, which they did. The atmosphere was a bit cold in this large room with nobody else. The service was a little inattentive. The food was good. Not my new favorite but it will do. For lunch it's a good deal.
