My friend and I randomly walked into an sparse restaurant and were seated right away. Then we waited 20min to get our drinks and another 45min to get saoto Snoep (delicious btw). We tried to order telo beef sate, and nasi goreng and we're told they were sold out. Ordered bami and chicken sate (delicious). Go there if you have tons of time to burn and expect horrendous service. Dear guest,Thank you for your rating and most of all your visit and your feedback which I appreciate the most. This will help me to identify and improve in this case, the bad/slow service. On behalf of my entire staff I also would like to apologize for any inconvenient and for our slow service. We hope to welcome you again soon.Regards,Romano Timan

I invited a group of business associates to dinner at Jawa. Whilst the food and service were good, I found the restaurant to be noisy. I hope as also disappointed that they did not accept Visa or MasterCard. I would recommend the Bakabana.

Only a very short taxi drive away a very Original fine Korean food place. Very nice decorated place also for bigger groups. Slightly out of "Schwung" but also very nice staff. A bit more expensive then low cost Paramaribo, but sooo much better food versus the nearby Blauwgrond Indonesians.TIP: if you like my best 3 restaurants for food in Paramaribo (Garden Eden, Lee and Ji Ji), this is the one that makes it complete (Paramaribo has very few fine food places..).TIP 2: just drink tea and eat that typical Korean great beef dish (the one least cheap)

Recommended by business acquaintance, and agree this is the best Indonesian food in Paramaribo. Large portions. Fresh. Nice outdoor seating and friendly service. Only downside is slight odor of sewage drifting in and out while we ate.

After trying Javanese food we decided to go for Chinese. The group chose the traditional dishes (mixed rice, vegetables with shrimp). The place is large and it was full, sign of good food. Unfortunately it did not meet the standards I was expecting, the taste was ok (nothing beyond that). The vegetables were good, but the shrimp did not have taste and was a little rubbery. For sure it is not the place I will go back this week.

Garden of Eden is a Thai Restaurant and Lounge Bar serving authentic Thai food prepared by Thai chefs.
The venue is amazing, all the more unusual since it seems to have been someone's home before they turned it into a dining establishment. We went in January, 2019 and opted for the 6-course prix fixe dinner. This is exactly the sort of Thai food which appeals to non-Thais, and it was all good. The drinks were creative (if you opted for the drinks menu). Prices were reasonable compared to the first world standards. The service was good too.
