First, I will get the bad out of the way. the server we got was pretty bad. He was not knowledgeable and hard as I tried to get another server's attention, he would jump right back in with bad service. I asked him to suggest a cocktail, he went on a long tangent speech about how could not offer me both the cocktail promo and a black friday promo they had (which I had absolutely no idea and had not asked about nor did I care because I wanted a cocktail to drink and was asking for recommendations) and then he just left. I had no idea what that was about, but I got another server's attention and I got my drink. The rest of the dinner the first server kept up this weird attitude and when I tried to ask for another drink after dinner, I was rebuffed. Cut my losses and went someplace else for the drink. The good: the food was very good. I had some gyozas as an appetizer and it came with like a honey mustard sauce. I thought "what a weird combo" but mixed together it worked! they were very good. I had the ebi rock sushi roll as a main course, and if you are a shrimp lover this is for you. It was very good and filling. I would order it again in a heartbeat. I don't think I would come back to *this* specific Tsugoi, just because of the service here, but I would try it again.Hello Ms. Patricia, we are really sorry to hear this. We are currently working on improving our service. Is there any chance that you remember the name of the first waiter? On the other hand we are glad that you liked the food and we will always be at your service. We hope you have a nice day.

Walked here from the Riu Plaza hotel (5 mins or less). The outside is not what you expect but donât be put off. After all, the food is in the inside! I ordered money bags and Green Curry. Both were excellent, especially with the Barbosa beer. Money bags were well presented and tasty; I ate them with sweet chilli sauce. The Green Curry was flavourful and spiced just right. It was spicy but not overly (but depending on your tolerance). Sauce with the curry was great and combined perfectly with the sticky rice. Bill was 22 bucks including a couple of beers which I thought was very reasonable. Would certainly go back if I get another chance to visit Panamá.

I was not a huge fans of sushi. I gave this restaurant a try and it is one of my favourites whenever I visit my beautiful country. The food is tasty and you have a menu tu choose from anything you feel like eating. I have been a couple of times and they keep the quality of the food and service. I have been to the one in Costa de Este and Brisas.

After two outstanding sushi dinners in Panama City at acclaimed restaurants, I tried the considerably less hyped but nevertheless exceptional Nacion Sushi in the upscale Soho Mall. After starting with a divine roll for an appetizer, I decided to try a Thai dish to test another one of my favorite cuisines out in Central America. While the Thai was not a bad rendition, it was nothing remarkable either. I knew that I should have stuck with just sushi, but I got a little greedy assuming that everything would be magnificent. Similar to the Ciao Bella Gourmet restaurant next door, the patio at Nacion Sushi also offers a picturesque view of the renowned F & F Tower.

There is a new girl in town. Discover all the secrets Miss Cho holds and taste the magic of the Japanese Fusion Cuisine.
Well, I applaud them an outstanding executed design and atmosphere. Even made me forget I was in a strip mall once I got inside. However as usual in Panama , everytime we get excited about a place that seems to be transcending the city, the same thing happens( food was nothing WOW). Not sure if its the lack of accessiblity to fresh good quality ingredints or lack of good chefs.Maybe a little of both.

Aki is a Japanese fusion style restaurant. It offers a variety of Japanese tapas, sushi & main courses, located in a popular bar area in Casco Viejo. We work with local fisherman, buying fresh everyday to ensure the best quality.
My husband and I loved our Tuesday night at Aki. The Sake mojitos were so delicious and the food was yummy. Aki was also hosting a fun "trivia night" which was a great way to talk to other tables and make friends. The atmosphere was fun yet our dinner was intimate and enjoyable. The servers were nice and the owner was very attentive. Aki was a highlight in the neighborhood of Casco. We can't wait to go back again.

Excellent interpretation of traditional, yet modernly presented Japanese cuisine. Great flavours, nice presentations, good service, contemporary-chic settings. Spicy edamame: to lick your fingers! Outdoor space was not available due to bad weather: we will go back for dinner to enjoy the stars ;)
