Ming's Kitchen serves great and interesting entrees, but their appetizers and a soup can make an enjoyable dinner. We had an egg drop soup [which was just OK] and a wonton soup [which was very good]. For appetizers we had a couple of spring rolls, a scallion pancake, some chicken satay [skewers], and wontons in chile oil [spicy and hot]. Could have ordered a portion of steamed rice - but we were full without it. Hot green tea was our drink. All this fro $30 plus tip. Pleasant surrounding and great, cordial service.

Picked up a dinner from Pick Thai, tonight. For our granddaughters and great grand kids we got Spring rolls, vegetable dumplings, Pick Thai Fried Rice with chicken and two orders of Yellow Curry with chicken, one mild spice level and one medium. For the three of us [me, wife and daughter] we had an order of spring rolls [4] and an order of steamed vegetable dumplings [6] as an appetizer. We followed these with Ginger Stir Fried with chicken and an order of Basil Stir Fried with chicken. Both of these dishes were ordered at the medium heat level.Everything was prepared within 20 minutes. The staff brought everything out to the car and placed in the trunk of my Porsche Boxster. The individual styro foam containers were placed into two cardboard boxes - making them easy to carry. The food was tasty, although I have had better spring rolls. The dumplings may be the best in town. The Stir Fried dishes were excellent and the two portions were enough for three, with the rice that was included.

I had the steamed vegetable dumplings and General Tao chicken. The steamed dumplings were great. I usually get pork, but I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the vegetable dumplings. The chicken was ok. The sauce was good, but I felt like the chicken was over cooked. I also got fried rice and it was good with lots of flavor and ingredients. The service was top notch and the reason for 4 stars instead of 3.

We've been to Toyo for the Hibachi experience in the past, which is great. This time around we came in for a non-Hibachi 'date night' meal. The manager instructed our waitress, to put us in a back room with several families with very active children (though there were multiple tables available in the main dining area). We had a wonderful waitress, but given the atmosphere of the 'kids room' was not what we were looking for, we decided to just have appetizers and go elsewhere for a meal.

Have not been to Rice & Spice Thai Kitchen for a couple of months. Have been trying other new restaurants, especially Thai. Being Spring Break at Ole Miss, the restaurant had only about a dozen diners, plus some take out customers. We had Tom Yum Soup for start. This we followed by Pad Thai and Pannang Curry. Everything was tasty and attractively presented. The Hot Jasmine Tea was perfect. This is the best Thai restaurant in Oxford.Service, as always, was great. Complete dinner was $35 plus tip.

Went there after the Ole Miss softball game this last weekend and was thoroughly pleased with our experience. Staff was AMAZING, food was delicious and even our two girls enjoyed the experience. It really does matter when employees really show that they care, especially when children are involved. I'm pretty sure these are the same owners that used to run a different restaurant we used to enjoy going to. If so, we are so glad to find them again and have similar great experiences. We will definitely be coming back!

We had reservations for a party of 7 for the teppanyaki grill. Our drink orders, salads, and soup came out quickly and the service was quick and attentive, but it took 45 minutes for the chef to start the teppanyaki order. We were surprised as the restaurant was not full and we had made reservations days in advance. The food quality was good and the portions were so large that we took a ton home, but the amount of butter and oil used to fry the rice, vegetables, and meat was pretty surprising. After living in Japan for several years, I would say that Kabuki is most certainly not a true teppanyaki restaurant, more Asian fusion. However, I will go back and try the other side of the restaurant. I would have given it 4 stars, but the wait was so long and no one explained what the delay was.

Don't let its unassuming location fool you--Jinsei is a fantastic restaurant. Step inside and you'll be transported from a strip mall to a lively, sophisticated restaurant. Its contemporary takes on Japanese flavors works well and makes your belly happy. We went on a very busy Sunday night and ended up eating at the sushi bar, which was so interesting. We enjoyed everything we hadl: the grilled shishito peppers, the seaweed salad, the bubblegum roll, the steamed buns and sashimi. The cocktails were excellent as well. They don't take reservations, so go early.
