One of the reasons I went to Otaru was to eat sushi. This restaurant is located on 'Sushi Street' which gives the idea that it is a street full of sushi shops, but to be honest there were not that many and some looked a little run down. I noticed many tourist bus stopping outside Nihombashi and decided to just have a look inside. I was hooked. It's a lovely restaurant with counter service where you can see the sushi chef at work right in front of you. You can order your choice of fish from the chefs or select from the menu. It has a traditional yet modern feeling and the service is polite and professional. You can sit at the counter or in a private room. The sushi is really really delicious. Highly recommended, I would go there again and again and again

Please read my entry for this conveyor belt sushi. Two restaurants of the same name but serving different types of food. This is the better one to try as the sushi is fresh, large pieces of fish and very afforable.

Recommended by the hotel staffs! From JR station, walks down the main road and turn right at the junction of Lawson. The Sushi was great and the price was reasonable.Go for the 15 pcs Sushi for about 2700 Yen. in a nice presentation.Suggest you go there before they open and join the line outside.Otherwise, you may not know how long you need to wait to get a seat.

Itâs a busy place, and thereâs alway long wait. Sushi was cheap but quality was not great at all. This type of sushi (sitting on the belt running around the restaurant) is the worst type. Deep fried octopus was super chewy and super greasy. Raw fish wasnât fresh. The shellfish looked dry after sitting on the belt running around several times. If one is looking for cheap sushi, this is the place, otherwise, pay more for better quality of food. Not recommend this type of sushi or this place at all. Preference is quality.

We decided to try this place based on excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. Itâs quite easy to find as itâs near the station. Menu is very limited and in fact only has 3 ramen choices. We ordered the Japanese Style Barbecued Pork Miso Ramen, Light Soy-Sauce Ramen, and Gyoza. The Miso Ramen is very good and the BBQ Pork is very tasty. We did not quite like the Soy-Sauce Ramen though as it was too light it was as if it didnât seem to have any soy sauce at all. The gyoza is very good and the extra crispness to make the âwingsâ is a very nice touch. We would have loved to have been able to order a BBQ Pork in rice though especially since my son is allergic to fish and they only have Bonito Rice.

We arrived in Otaru late and came here right after dropping off our luggage at the hotel. As we're a party of 8, we had to wait a while for 2 tables of 4 (they were trying to put us next to each other) even at round 3pm. The wait was definitely worth it as it's the best soba we had eaten. We had 2 orders of Nishin (Herring) other than our soba and they tasted fabulous too. This place is definitely a must if you are visiting Otaru and wish we can be back again.
