My family and I will never enter this restaurant again. Made reservations a week in advance for our daughters birthday for 6pm on a Thursday night. Arrived around 5:50 and was told we could not be seated until our entire party of 10 arrived, no problem, this is common practice. However, when our entire party arrived (around 6:10), we were told we would still have to wait to be seated. At this point we are wondering what the purpose of a reservation is. So while we continued to wait, I went to the bar to try get some drinks and a couple of waters while we waited only to have the bartender/manager brush me off repeatedly and tell me that I need to have a table to order a drink or even sushi. At this point I am very upset and told my party that this night is not going to get any better and we should make other plans. At this point, the time was now 6:40pm and we had yet to be seated. Finally, our daughter decided that we should just leave as her birthday is pretty much ruined at this point. We all proceeded out the door only to have the hostess come jogging outside to stop us and tell us that they can seat us now. We reluctantly reentered the restaurant and were seated. As if the story couldn't get any better, we were told that a server would be right with us. The time was now 6:48. We waited and waited for a server to take out drink orders, only to watch all 6 of them repeatedly walk past our party of 10 and not even acknowledge us. We decided as a group that if we 5 more minutes elapsed that we would all just get up and leave and not come no matter what. We all were watching our watches, the servers aware, counting down the 5 minutes...........and to our udder shock!? Nothing, absolutely nothing. No one ever came to our table to receive us or acknowledge our presence. We all smiled, stood up and walked out as a group. The time was now 6:57. Other patrons accosted us on the way out, asking what was the matter and what had happened. We simply told them good luck being served at this establishment as we had been waiting for an hour and not even offered a drink and they may want to consider a different restaurant for their dining tonight. They, as we, couldn't believe how horrible our evening had been. No hostess ran out after us this time, and the birthday girl and us all agreed to go down the street and try our luck at another hibachi grill restaurant where we had a wonderful evening and a great birthday party; all of us glad to be somewhere else.

If you love Asian food you will probably already have eaten some of these menu items on fusion buffets and other restaurants. This place is not large but clean and efficient. The menu has the common Japanese food like tempura, sushi, rice and teriyaki as well as some things you may want to experiment with. I really liked the Chicken Negimaki, which is thin filets of chicken wrapped around a filling, sort of like the way noori wraps around sushi. They have a tasty ginger salad dressing, and the miso soup, spring rolls and dumplings are very good. If it's lunch time, check out the Bento box combinations. I have eaten here 5 times and it was equally good every time. I feel like I am getting a better, healthier meal than I do when piggin' out at an Asian buffet.

I have been here several times now. The food and the service are excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There are a wide variety of food choices. I go from Tampa to Jacksonville almost every Monday and try to stop on the way home.

Quite a surprise to get such great Thai food on Ocala. I had the Red Curry with Seafood for lunch. It came with delicious soup and a spring roll.

I don't know why it took us so long to dine here. Maybe the distance, and/or some less than favorable reviews. I must say that ANY unfavorable review is so completely bizarre to me because I don't know what any diner could possibly find fault with at this place!! At first, upon entering on a busy Friday at dinner time, I was a bit put off with the line and crowds at the door, but the hostess turned tables quickly and we were seated in less than 5 minutes. Our server, Pedro was amazingly knowledgable and recommended some sushi dishes since it was our first visit. Let me tell you that this sushi is fresh, delicious, so well presented and just delightful! We had the platter for 2 plus a side order roll named spicy lady. Regardless of it being so very busy, our food arrived in a timely fashion, and our server Pedro was a delight. Turns out he is a native Key West Conch and we exchanged some stories, since we are transplants from the Florida Keys. Small world, fantastic food and experience!!! We will return soon.

Joyless staff still on duty. No smiles. Food fair. When the two soap dispensers in the men's room did not work, the cashier was informed. He proceeded to say the soap worked earlier and then provided a lecture on automatic soap dispenser success. This writer has enjoyed successful use of automatic soap dispensers in the past and despite a wide variety of manipulations...neither of the two men's room dispensers were cooperative.Next came the first hand accounting from the women's room that, despite operational availability of soap, the two waitresses who had just finished using the toilets merely ran their rest room hands under running water. The same cashier, when informed of this major sanitation violation provided a nonchalant "I really don't give a damn" attitude.Chilling to think of how many ladles and tongs and spoons had been sullied by waitress and male customers who had not utilized soap to reduce the number of pathogenic microbes on their toileted hands. And then those same utensils were touched by other guests who, until that moment, had been somewhat hygienic. A number of patrons were observed eating egg rolls and sushi with their bare hands that may have used some of the tongs and spoons and ladles.

Following the closure of Yummy House by the Health Department, this writer announced he would not eat there again. At the urging of a noted area chef as well as neighbors, a visit was planned.Ian was a friendly and attentive server. Food was as remembered, delicious. Indeed, the hot sour soup had a hint of sesame oil which made it a clear stand-out. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. It was somewhat off-putting that the requested egg rolls were substituted with spring rolls without comment. When they were served, a guest noted that egg rolls had been ordered. The expediter responded that they were out of egg rolls.
