Nagoya is a brand new restaurant on Offenbach's Wilhelmplatz. It offers Japanese fare of good quality for a reasonable price. There were some minor hiccups with the service, but I trust that they will sort them out when they settle into a routine.

Offenbach has a limited offering for restaurants but White Elefant is actually a pretty good choice for an Indian restaurant. It was a busy night in Elefant and we had to wait quite a bit to get service and our food, but luckily we were not in a hurry. An advanced reservation is highly recommended, Their menu is really extensive. Also more than a dozen vegetarian menu options. Good service, not very attentive though. But the main thing, the food - it was very good.

This is probably the best Vietnamese I have ever had. In fact I was never that keen on Vietnamese food. A small family run place in a hidden but charming corner of multi cultural Offenbach I was forwarned not to expect something luxurious.Well the place is not only pleasantly cosy and covered in Bamboo and the owner's amazing caligraphy but immediately one feels curious about this restaurant. After a slightly longish wait - there is no rushing - we ordered our food. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised about the wide selection of dishes. When the food arrived it looked elegant....my brother's dish consited of summer rolls that one had to assemble oneself with beautifully crafted rice paper disks...I had a vegetarian curry with sweet potatoes that was so carfully spiced and fragrant that I felt seriously tempted to lick the dish. One could taste the family's passion for cooking in a more traditional Vietnamese style and the pleasure in sharing this with their guests. The father came to our table for a long chat and oozed charisma and the well balanced nature that one would only expect of buddhist monks. Open for 23 years and I only found this now. What a find...
Go there for lunch from work. Food always good and consistent. Quick and friendly place to sit and eat.
