i visited this restaurant yesterday and explained to the owner my previous experience , i had on this occasion mixed pakora , a chicken tikka balti and lamb jalfrazi with a garlic coriander nan and pilau rice all was prepared well the taste was excellent , the lamb i have too say was one of the best and most tender i have had, the jalfrazi was relatively hot, good for me but might be a bit fiery for someoverall this venue appeared to be back to the excellent standards i experienced on previous visits a special thanks to the owner / manager who discounted the meal heavily in substitution for my previous visit even although it was a while ago and appologised for this thanks again for a wonderful meal and great customer service

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, lovely food. Much bigger than it looks from the outside - situated just at the endof the main st - so could easiely be missed. The other Indian restaurants all did chinese,pizza etc which put us off so was really pleased we found this place that purly did Indian! We weren't disappointed! Infact we had planned to return again while we were in Obam but ubfortunatly the last night it absolutly poured it down with rain so ended up not going! But would recommend if you are in Oban. It's always a dilemma wether to order something that you like so you can judge how good the food is - or pick something completely different!! We went for favorites & weren't disappointed - when we planned to return we were planning to try something different - so sorry we didn't get back!!!

I visited this Chinese restaurant by chance this week and I'm very glad I did. The decor was great and the staff, all of them, very friendly and helpful. The food however was even better! I chose prawn balls to start and duck in plum sauce with egg fried rice as a main. It all arrived quickly, was beautifully presented and tasted devine. I can only recommend that if you're in Oban you give them a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We went with friends to China Restaurant, opposite Oban Distillery and my husband who is not a great lover of Asian food wrote this in an email to our friends.".A thoroughly enjoyable experience although it has probably put me off Chinese food forever , for the reason that nothing could match the excellence of what we enjoyed with you".The food was just so good,, we started with prawn and sesame toasts and the prawn filling was so lavish and melt in the mouth, then we had Chow Mein, my husband had the duck which was just so tender and full of flavour and three of us had the special which was also so flavousome . We will certainly go back on our next trip to Oban.
