I have only visited a few Thai restaurants and wanted to expand my dining experiences in this particular cuisine. Thai Essence has a modern and warm interior, perfect for lunch or dinner and byob. Our waitress was extremely gracious and engaging. Appetizer:Crab dim sum-very goodEntree:Red curry shrimp-sauce was excellent had had just enough kickBoar with mixed vegetablesFor dessert, they ask when taking your order if you want a chocolate souffle. I figured I would give it a shot. it is not quite traditional French souffle, more like a cross between a souffle and lava cake. It was good as long as you keep that in mind.I enjoyed my visit and will make it a frequent stop.

Small rolls, interesting flavor but you can see them skimping in ingredients. The prices are like Robongi in Hoboken... but the quality is nothing near! Pay $60 and come out hungry after mostly eating... rice! Come on... give the customer some quality ingredients in a reasonable (sufficient) quantity!... I am a 115 lb female... not 200lbs... do I think this critique is reasonable!

This is a no frills place, but better than a Chinese take out atmosphere. Had chicken pad Thai, which I've had better elsewhere. Also had the panang curry, tofu pad Thai, and a chicken dish with cashews. Tasty, though portions were not too generous, but reasonably priced. The restroom was not decent, which leads me to question if the kitchen is clean. For that reason I will not be coming back.

Tastes like typical Chinese takeout. Portions are similar to other takeout places, if not a little bit bigger. I ordered for pickup and it was ready when I got there. I got the chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice and an eggroll and thought it was tasty. Just be aware that there is a $10 minimum for credit cards, so bring cash if you're just getting one meal.
