The lunch buffet is only $8.00 including tax!!!!!!! The food quality ranges from only OK to quite good. The selection, however, is excellent! There is an area with several types of Japanese-style rolls (I won't call them sushi rolls, because none of them had sushi fish in them) that were reasonably tasty. This buffet, for only $8.00 including tax, even has peel and eat shrimp! There are a wide variety of probably 30 or maybe 40 items on the buffet, including a couple of beef dishes and pork dishes, along with the typical several chicken dishes. There is also a section with pizza and some other "American" type foods, but the onion rings wern't that good. Many of the chinese dishes I tried were pretty good. Obviously, the $8.00 price has to limit the quality somewhat or they would quickly go out of business, but overall it was pretty good. Again, the variety and selection is excellent!Did I mention the price is only $8.00 including tax? I will return. You should try it.

It's in an odd location; we passed the lot entrance and the building is nondescript. Beyond that, though, you get a variety of sushi options to choose from. The atmosphere is sophisticated but casual, the service was quick, and the food was really good.We tried a variety of rolls: Playgirl, Waukegan, Spicy Salmon and one other. All were very good; we'd get them again if we're in the area for dinner. The other couple at our table enjoyed the sushi burritos.Pricing is typical of sushi restaurants.

The paper wrapper ends of the straws in our Thai iced coffees were folded into beautiful rose shapes. We all pulled out their phones to take photos of this unexpected artistic touch. We were offered a tasty complimentary vegetarian soup to start our meal.Good food and portion sizeplenty of parking

Easy, close to home. i love eating there. My favorite is their walnut shrimp which I have almost every time I'm there. Also - look on the receipt: if you review your visit on their website you get a third choice for free next time you come in. Have done this several times now. Nice to take a little extra food home for later.
I found this place on Google. It is located approx 5 miles from Great Lakes Naval Station, IL. It is right off the main drag. Next door is a filipino supermarket. It is run by the same family. This place is small. You can probably fit 20 people in the room. You proceed up to the counter. There are approx 10 dishes to choose from. They have somthing different each day. The also have fried fish such as Bangus, Talipia and Mackarael. If your go to www.pampangaexpress.com you can download their menu. The food is tasty and plentiful. With this being said the only negative thing that I can say about this place is the music. I previously mentioned it is small in square feet. They have a filipino band that plays there. The amps on the speakers are blasting so loud that you can not hear yourself order while they are playing. The people who work there should wear hearing protection. Bottom line good food, good price, friendly atmoshpere and way too loud music.

We went here for lunch and it was good but I do not think worth $90. We had one appetizer, two rolls, and a shrimp burger and fries. The rolls were good but nothing spectacular. The appetizer was ahi wrapped in filo, it probably was the best tasting of our lunch. The shrimp burger should be removed from their menu and it really just seemed like a frozen shrimp patty with lots of breading, deep fried. I would never or it again. The waitress was of zero help, her response to questions was get what you want. If she could or would have described the food the shrimp patty would NOT have been ordered. The place itself is very modern and clean, the service was average at best. Probably will not return. Thank you for your feedback; it only helps us get better. We hope to see you soon at Shakou. #ExperienceShakou
