Things to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Visited here while shopping at this mall. It is in the food court building called The Eatery at one end of the mall. There are several food court type restaurants here. All seating is in a large common area with lots of space and very aesthetic surroundings. There is no wait staff, self serve and pick your seat. There are limited menu options at all these places. I had a broccoli stir fry, (too salty but still tasty and very fresh), rice (very dry tasting like it was day-old?) and the chilli shrimp (nice, not too spicy). This was $13 w tax. It was just enough, not too generous. Next time I go I will try something else.

Local friends took us to the new Bricks and Barley restaurant in Virgil just 10 minutes from Old Town NOTL. We are so pleased they did. Great service and good food. We enjoyed wood oven pizzas, The Veneto (asiago-artichoke base, chicken, bacon, mozzarella, caramelized onions, spinach. and the Fungus Among Us (Garlic olive oil, selection of mushrooms, caramelized onions, fontina, rosemary.)There local beer selection is excellent and a nice change from the ever present wine in the area.

Went to Chili Jiao for dinner. We ordered the pan fried chive dumplings (yummy), the veggie spring rolls (also yummy), Kung pao chicken, chicken fried rice, beef fried rice and stir fried noodles with chicken. Overall, the meal was ok. However, the food all seemed very oily. The rice contained corn, carrots and green beans, that were clearly of pre-cut frozen variety. The kung pao chicken was good, we ordered medium spicy and it had a serious kick! The noodles tasted very....smokey, hard to explain. Service was a bit slow. I ordered a Tom Collins and was very disappointed, could not taste gin at all and the drink was too sweet from artificial flavours. Overall, not really impressed and would not likely go back.Dear Kristin LThank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. Your feedback gives us the information we need to better serve our guests and is much appreciated.I am very sorry about the slow services and very limited food provided from your last experience/ visit.I would like to invite you one more time to give us to provide your new experience again. Home cooked Authentic Thai Cuisine served in the heart of wine country
This is a great restaurant in NOTL. Been back for dinner several times and it never disappoints - food is always fresh and delicious - service always pleasant - the night we were here they had a couple of wine specials which made it very easy to select a bottle of wine rather a glass each (more value for your money)!! Would not hesitate to return. On a special note, a huge thank you to Sue, our server, for making our dinner experience always pleasant and enjoyable!!Good Evening Barry905,Thank you for your feedback and loyalty to Niagara's Finest Thai I will make sure I pass along the kind words to Sue. Let us know when your back in town and we look forward to welcoming you home to Niagara's Finest Thai.Regards,Keegan AtackRestaurant Manager

A small intimate dining room serving a variety of Asian-fusion food and local Ontario wines. Our menu features a fusion of Western dishes with an Asian flair - with influences from Japanese, Chinese, Indian and other South-East Asian cuisine. Prices range
From the prompt return of our reservation request until the final goodbye, service was attentive and friendly. The menu was not extensive but clearly what they do they do well. They strike a nice balance in their seasonings and portions are fair size. We ordered coconut curry, lamb shank and calamari salad, all tasty and well prepared. They know how to do sea food and the freshness certainly came through. With a bottle of reason ably priced Ontario wine it made for a lovely dinner.. Thanks
