Came in for lunch. Got here 15 min after opening. Chairs still up on tables. Ordered food. Sat down. While waiting (15-20min) noticed that there were crumbs and food under several tables from the night before. Had I seen how dirty it was before we ordered and paid, we prob would have gone else where. Food comes. No utensils. No sauce for lettuce wraps. Edamame cold. Waited another 5 min for sauce and silverware that server said he would bring. Finally got up and went to counter and asked cashier for sauce and silverware. Food taste was good. Portions were large. Good value for what we paid. But I have been here before, a couple years ago and the service and cleanliness was much better. We were there at least an hour total and the only chairs taken off tables were those taken down by customers wanting to sit down....

Taipei Express is a Chinese Restaurant located in New Braunfels, Texas! We offer Dine In, Take-Out, Delivery & Catering!
At first glace looks like a fast food take out. You order at the counter and food is brought to your table. My wife and I both had chicken dishes. She had orange chicken and I had kung pow. Both were very good and made fresh to order. No heavy breading so chicken was very tasty. The small plates were enough for us. Food was not greasy and service was quick. I will go back again.jim1mari,Thanks for your kind word about Taipei Express! We are very happy to hear that both of you enjoyed your chicken dishes. The Orange Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken are two of the most popular dishes in the whole restaurant, so we know you have great taste! We are please to know that even our small portions were sufficient and we look forward to serving you again soon! Thank you!

Went for lunch. 1p on a Tuesday. Restaurant empty which should have been a clue. Ordered Gang Massaman and Gang Keo Wan off lunch menu. Was told soup was chicken noodle but we were never given any soup!!! Both entrees bland. Gang keo Wan watery and was almost all bell pepper and only a few tiny pieces of chicken. Egg rolls TINY. Portions small. We will not go back. Basically 8.50 for tiny eggroll, rice, small watery bland entree NO SOUP then extra for drinks.
Looks like the whole family is working together tonight. Super nice people, very polite. I recommend the A5 Summer Roll with shrimp. A little inconsistent on ingredients from visit to visit (sometimes with carrots other times not) but always delicious. This one item is worth the trip. I also get the chicken Pad Thai, also always great.
This is "Big" Henry, back again with another Review and 100% Authentic & Honest take on our meal:You know my wife by now, always wanting to try different spots. We passed this spot the day before and because it served Chinese food, we'd thought we give it a try.Pho NB on 1050 hwy 35 north #100, New Braunfels, TX 78130 @ (830) 484-8889"Big" Henry's Rating System: As you already recognize, I apply a rating system in (#) from 1 (worst) to 10 (best). Now onto the Review:Won Ton Soup (4): Had a funny taste and smell, tasted differently than most I have tried. I didn't finish it, so what does that tell you?Egg Drop Soup (6.5): Was above par, not the greatest, but editable. It was thick and tasty.Lemon Chicken (5): The chicken was tender, but cannot stand the breading.Fried Rice (3): It looked like Spanish rice, was below any Chinese standard.Beef (8) & Broccoli & Carrots & Brown Sauce (3): The beef was very tender, however the rest of the dish was below par. The vegetables were hard and the gravy did not taste well.Egg Roll (7.5): were fresh, crispy, and tasted better with dipping sauce. A1 Gôi CuôŠaka soft Spring Rolls (9): tasted fresh and love that peanut butter flavored dipping sauce.ST2 Sauteed Rice Noodles w/Assorted Meats (9): I shared this with my wife and girls, and we all loved this. I was going to try the P1 Pho Dac Biet (Rice Noodle Soup and Assortment of Beef), but I passed and very glad I did.Soda (10): It is Canned!Atmosphere (7): Was not very large, plenty of tables, seemed cold vs. warm.Overall: I would go back for specifically what I did like... So I wont say "One & Done" yet... I'm hoping it is not a "Two & Thru" or a "Three & Flee" Lol!We will see..."Big" Henry #BigHenrysReviews

This is a fairly new Sushi Bar and Asian Bistro that opened July 2009. We went for the first time this last Saturday night, Jan. 16, 2010. The place was great - we're from Houston and we know great restuarants and this one is great for a small city like N
A return trip to my favorite Japanese restaurant. We ordered a Canyon sushi role to start. Very flavorful and well made by experienced sushi chef. Next I ordered the geisha plate which was a combination of fried shrimp with panko breeding,a chicken dish, rice, soup and tempura fried veggies. Everything was cooked just right and most important not overcooked. I can't recommend this place enough. The atmosphere is leisurely and not rushed so do t get in a hurry. A little pricey but great for that special evening or just splurging.

We were looking for great German food and stopped here first. Hubby had Roulade meal for $18.80 and I ended up with a Garden Salad and Potato Pancakes. The server was pleasant and prompt, but we did have to wait a little while for our food. Hubby said the Roulade was about average, not large enough portion for the price. He had to ask for bread with his meal as it is not provided. I had two appetizers, the salad was very good and made with greens and veggies with ham. The potato pancakes were ok, but would rather have had sour cream than cinnamon applesauce. The cinnamon just didn't work well with the potatoes. There was no atmosphere, it was just a room with tables and a few German looking items scattered around. We were not impressed at all.
