Our wish list was to have sushi and this place did not fail. It does not get any better, the service and mazing food was delicious. I would go there everyday if I was living in Nelson, but sadly will treasure the memories. It was nice to see that vegetarian option was available for the guest who sat next to me, would be great to see more people visit this amazing bistro. Thank you Youki and team.

Stopped at U thong during our honeymoon in NZ, somehow the lady there guessed we were on our honeymoon and were sooo nice about it, even got us champagne on the house! Helped us with ordering, added free stuff and even shaped the rice to be heart shaped, just for us! The dishes were OK, not something to lose your mind for, but in big generous portions. Prices were average I guess but because the portions were big, good value for money. Overall one of the better experiences we had in NZ, mainly because of service :)

Left the hotel thinking we would go out for a nice Thai dinner but sadly forgot to make a reservation and the restaurant was full....so walked down the same road and saw this lovely place that was buzzing with guests but still had a few tables empty. So we walked in and must say the food was fantastic, the portions good and the speedy courteous service was amazing. Now for lovers of food from VIETNAM,,,,,,THIS is the PLACE,Overall--9/10

My granddaughter had the honey chicken which she pronounced delicious while I had the rice pot with pork. Very tasty. We enjoyed a relaxed and enjoyable dinner here on Queens Birthday weekend. On leaving, my granddaughter asked if we could return sometime. Thereâs a great recommendation!

We went there on Friday night - it was not particularly busy but we had a bit of a wait as several groups had arrived at the same time. Our waitperson was suitably apologetic, but it was well worth the wait as the food was excellent. Not flashy or overpresented, just very good honest ingredients cooked and flavoured to perfection. I had Kuey Tiew combination seafood (prawn, mussel, scallop, squid) in a delicious gravy, while my partner had Thai chicken curry. The servings were very generous so our extra rice serving was a bit unnecessary....we were full. The bonus was a 15 pc discount for us oldies gold card holders, which made it even more reasonable at under $40 for two. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

I came across this delightful takeaway food shop by accident, and ate there every night I was in Nelson. The proprietor is Korean and clearly knows how to deliver flavours with quality food, and quickly. I had Bimbap and it was $14. So I had it again every night with different meats and vegetarian options and just loved it. Highly recommend.

Taaj Indian Restaurant & Cafe offers an authentic Indian cuisine with lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
We visited here last night with a family group including 2 young children. They were very attentive and Broughton the childrenâs meals promptly which we all appreciated. We ordered 2mixed platters for 2 which we shared between 6 adults and bits was ample as a starter. Then we had 4 curries with 2 garlic naans for our main and these were all delicious and quite different flavours. The staff were friendly and efficient and kind tomthe children and their needs. We took our own wine so the end cost was very reasonable for such a tasty and delicious meal. Weâd thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Inspired by the flavours and vibrancy of South East Asian street food and hawker markets, Harryâs is an expression of love in food form for a region and people weâve come to greatly admire and respect. Harryâs Hawker House is a place where fresh flavours
Top quality produce put together with imagination and a subtle blend of flavours - our three plate lunch was such a delight that we are going back tomorrow! The crispy Peking duck, Korean ribs and raw green fish curry were all superb - so it will be hard not to just repeat. But there is the tempting Szechuan venison, pork mono dumplingsand Thai salmon gravlax to also tempt us. That we had the place to ourselves was extraordinary! Nelsonians have a world class gem in their midst and they donât seem to know it. Harryâs would be booked out days in advance if it was in Auckland. It deserves every success.
