It lies on the western banks of the Colorado River in the Mohave Valley subregion of the Mojave Desert, near the borders of Arizona and Nevada and roughly 110 miles (180 km) from the Las Vegas Strip. It is the easternmost city of the San Bernardino Metropolitan area, and is geographically isolated from other cities in the area. The city is accessible via Interstate 40 and U.S. Route 95. The population was 4,844 at the 2010 census, up from 4,830 at the 2000 census.

Visited Panda Garden at the end of a very long day road-tripping. Very pleasantly surprised. Although the menu is not huge, it includes all the usual Chinese staples. I had assorted low mein, which was really nice. My party also sampled chicken curry and szcheuan beef - all came with rice. Total bill for five including drinks (with free refills) was $58 - very good value. Worth a visit if youâre in the area

All the other reviews were correct - the lady who runs this place makes good food. I had two Thai dishes - hot and sour soup (tom yung gai) and red curry chicken. Both excellent, spot on flavors.The ambience is low, but if you think of it as a take-out place (which it also is), it's actually remarkable that there are a few comfortable tables inside where you can sit and relax. The owner/cook/waitress is a warm and caring business owner. I think this is one of the finest examples of a small business that ought to succeed.
