I like American Chinese food. It typically is dependable. You know what you get and what not. Well, this experience was at the bottom of my Chinese food experiences. They claim in their restaurant name "Gourmet Chinese". Definitely not! First I had some steamed wontons. The dough was too thick but still they tasted ok. After that I had chicken with broccoli and pork fried rice. The fried rice was terrible! Tasteless with fatty pieces of pork and served lukewarm. The broccoli was ok but no spices on it. The chicken was terrible: limp, tasteless and not hot. While the service was prompt, the demeanor of the staff was lukewarm at best as well. I had been here a few years ago and it was ok. But now: Never again!

The Sushi was good. The place is kind of small for a buffet maybe thatâs why it was not a huge selection for the food. The employees were very friendly but I after the notice that we got the dessert they brought me the bill and told me THANK YOU FOR COMING!!What about If I wanted to try something else?

Fresh Organic and Delicious
This small restaurant in a shopping center truly is a Jewel. I've tired most of their dishes, and have never been disappointed. They have selections for meat eaters and vegetarians, and if you skip the rice, many dishes are keto-friendly. The staff will adjust level of spicing to your taste. I usually ask for medium, which is seasoned enough to be interesting, but not to bring tears. The staff is attentive, but the kitchen does get a bit behind on busy nights. Lunch or an early dinner is both tasty and fast. The restaurant is small, and can not accommodate large groups without a reservation. There is no corking fee for bringing your own wine. Take out is great too.

The duck was pretty soggy (purpose of duck is crispy skin, of course!). The peanut chicken was super fried and then covered in sauce, so it also got a little soggy. The flavors were good, but everything was fairly spicy, even though we asked for not spicy at all. It was fine, but I don't feel the urge to return.

The atmosphere is a cut above for the neighborhood; a place you might actually sit at the bar and have a cocktail. Big saltwater fish tank and expansive interior. The sushi is fresh, tasty and in tastefully polite portions. It takes a long time to get to the table; sip your miso. Chinese dishes come out with a fillip of decoration, in a pineapple shell or nicely garnished. The hostess is friendly.
