Bow's Kitchen is discretely situated above the Wig & Pen pub in Margate's Old Town.We have all of the benefits of links with the pub, whilst being separated enough to allow private dining. We are a few minutes walk from the Turner Contemporary Gallery and
Family of four visited afternoon of 18 August, we had intended to eat at a seafood restaurant as by the sea but none offered alternatives and my youngest daughter does not like fish etc. We had walked all the eateries and were ready to give up, looked at the menu on the side of the âwig & penâ, stepped inside with three TVâs showing sports and wondered if we had made a mistake, we were hungry, so went upstairs, where we we greeted by a very friendly lady.It was also a bit of a gamble as our teenage daughters had not previously experienced Thai, although Indian and Chinese plenty of times, they were willing to give it a chance. What a hidden gem, we chose some mixed starters, then were assisted with choosing mains, all the food was cooked beautifully, with wonderful flavours youâd expect, we loved it, would definitely go back. All of us thought the curries, noodles and rice, along with duck pancake rolls were gorgeous, so tasty. Total bill £101, including starters, four mains, four sides, two glasses of wine, two beers, along with soft drinks.

We were on a friend's break and deciding where to eat when a local lady Kath recommended this restaurant. This must be best Thai food ever tasted a small intimate restaurant overlooking harbour but with with first class freshly cooked food and attentive but not intrusive service if you looking for somewhere to eat in Ramsgate make you way here you won't be disappointed

Been coming here for 15 years and found the service is either really attentive or non-existent.On this occasion an incredibly arrogant waiter whom I've not seen there before argued with me when I politely requested, as I always do, no butter on our naan breads; telling me the restaurant has never and would never butter naan. They do, said I; and I frequently have to return it because my request to not receive it is ignored. We don't do it, he responded; then walked off. Had this been my first ever visit to the place I'd have walked out at that point. Hey presto the naan was indeed slathered in butter when it arrived. We managed to get the attention of Mr Attitude, eventually, who snapped that he had told the kitchen not to (he hadn't) and later brought over some un-buttered bread and dumped it without a word. The waiting staff are lovely, if sometimes overwhelmed when busy hence occasional really slow service. So I'm sure they'll be able to identify who this unpleasant individual is. Get rid of him, he does your business no favours. Other than sometimes problematic service the food is generally sound, if rather weak when it comes to vegetarian offerings. Nice decor and you don't feel rushed to eat and leave.

A table of ten was served very efficiently. Excellent choices of food on the menu and large portion size! Sharing platters were a good choice.

An authentic Indian Restaurant opened by a renowned Indian chef Anil Kumar. Food for me has always been an adventure. My aim is to convey my passion for Indian cuisine in a way which gives you a taste of perfect Indian dishes. I hope you enjoy the taste o
I went here for lunch on my birthday with my husband. What a lovely, friendly place. Not your average Indian (nothing wrong with those) but beautiful presentation and little extra titbits served between courses made it a cut above. Very attentive but not intrusive staff. Clean, pleasant, excellent value for money. We were invited to have extra naans or rice but struggled to eat what we had been given. I had the specials (calves liver starter and halibut main and my husband had the squid starter and halibut main) and the fixed price lunch menu. Would definitely recommend.

Visited on a Thursday night in a group of 6 the restaurant was full and with just one chef the service slow. The room is a bit small and dated however the food was excellent and more than made up for any shortfalls in other areas. Loved that it was a byob which saved a fortune- glasses provided and a shop opposite if you do not bring enough with you A great place to go for a relaxed meal with the best Thai food I have ever had .

I have often eaten in Tandoori Nite and each time I have received good service , lovely food and itâs reasonably priced. There is plenty of choice on the menu of both mains and side dishes . It is worth booking as it does get rather busy.

We have not had a chance to venture over from Ramsgate to try this restaurant until tonight and wow, do we feel like we have been missing out! The food is really really well presented with beautiful flavour. The restaurant is comfortable and clean and the service impeccable. We will be back for sure, a new favourite for date night. Thank you secret spices.

Flavours has one drawback - itâs setting. It sits in a rather unimpressive row of shops about a mile out of town on the road to Canterbury. The restaurant itself, largely unchanged since Kumar moved in, is a little disappointingly dowdy - like so many âIndianâ establishments. But the FOOD is outstanding! Tasty, subtly flavoured, beautifully presented. Over the last two years I have eaten every single item on the menu and have always been delighted. Furthermore, the service is impeccable.Would Flavours benefit from being resited in Margateâs Old Town, or would Margateâs new-found popularity benefit from spreading to the outlying areas? I donât know. But this restaurant should not be missed.

We were staying at The Foxhunter Park and itâs tradition to try the local Indian takeaway on the first night. the restaurant is just down the road from the park, in the village with planets of parking. The staff were very polite, friendly and comical too. I couldnât decide what to have, so they asked what I normally have, boring korma or masala but getting fed up with creamy dishes. The advised a Rogan, and boy was I not disappointed, it was soooo good Iâm making myself want another whilst writing this. My husband is a bit of a curry conisuer and he said that this was the best he had ever had. Would highly recommend and most definitely go back when in the area again.
