We really enjoyed Ave Del Paraiso. We had dinner here twice during our one week stay. Everything we had was just over the top fantastic. The owners are super welcoming and care about their guests. The food is prepared with great care, high quality ingredients, and a beautiful presentation. Eating Thai food in a beautifully restored colonial home was amazing. Thank you Alma Rosa for being so sweet to us. I look forward to eating here again in November.

Lo Que Hay Cafe Which means "what there is" is an international vegan restaurant located inside the Hotel MedioMundo in Merida's historical center. We serve a daily special menu of three courses, plus a refillable drink, and a dessert, all inspired by a d
From the moment you enter the restaurant, it's hard not to be wowed by the surroundings. From an unsuspecting street door to a well decorated courtyard oasis.Whether you're a meat eater or a vegan, I would be surprised if you didn't find the food delicious. In fact, in my 2 week trip to Mexico, the meal I had here was undoubtedly my favourite. We went on an Italian themed night, and had a lime soup, lasagne and then a chocolate coconut mousse. The meal was tasty and the portions were of ample size. We didn't leave hungry! The staff were friendly, helpful, and informative about the food. The tables are located outside, so depending on the weather you may need to bring a light jacket in the evening. If I return to Merida, I will certainly make a reservation to go back!

We winter near Progreso, and travel to Merida for shopping and sighseeing. In 2019 we ate lunch twice at the Korean Grill. The Grill continues to serve excellent Korean food. We enjoyed the bulgogi, spicy pork, seafood pancake and fried dumplings. We will return next year. The restaureant is clean and well maintained. They have an English menu and the wait staff speaks English.

If you prize ambiance and trendy over quality of food this is a place for you.The menu is a fusion of "japanese" with Peruvian/Oriental cuisine. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The service was awful. They were nice about it by offering a free dessert in compensation. The place was filled with young people having a lot of fun. The music was too loud.An apology, thank you for the comments to improve for you.
