Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Maraval including Hakka Restaurant and Bar, Town Restaurant & Bar, Tiki Village at Kapok Hotel, Samurai Restaurant, More Vino, Eagle's Restaurant, Tamnak Thai Restaurant, Kaizan Sushi, Jenny's on the Boulevard, You & I
There is no doubt the experience at this restaurant is special (food grilled on your table coupled with fresh produce galore) and the atmosphere is very nice. The service could do with improvement but overall is better than average for T&T. What is of grave concern to me is the variability of their opening hours which indicate a closing time of 10pm on weekdays. For the second time now I and my party arrived to the restaurant before 8:30pm only to be told that the restaurant was closed. No reason was given for not honouring the posted opening hours. I suggest, if you plan to visit, that you call first to check on opening hours or perhaps make a reservation. It would be good form for the restaurant to indicate through their social media platforms that closing time is variable to save customers the inconvenience of arriving to a closed restaurant.

Jenny's On The Boulevard is a Chinese Restaurant situated at the corner of Cipriani Boulevard Port of Spain. Its an Historic Blue Mansion which was originally built back in the early 20th century. Itâs not just the restaurantâs interior that has an olden
This place is amazing. Wonderful location with parking if you have a car and wonderful food. Very professional attentive waiters, best we have come across in Trinidad and Tobago and quick and efficient service. Beautiful interiors again best we have come across.Delicious food so much so we had 2 lunches at the pub bar downstairs. Quite reasonable priced too given the quality. If youâre lucky Jenny herself might wander over to say hi and sheâs an amazing hostess. Highly recommended.

Lovely little restaurant that is small on the inside but cosy. They do really good sushi rolls! Love their specials (2 sets of rolls for $120 or 3 for $180) which we thought was good value. Service is a little slow and the waitresses could do with making a little more eye contact and being quicker with identifying patronsâ need for drink refills, but otherwise they are sociable and eager to please. Itâs great that they offer all sorts of Asian appetizers and mains including Thai and fusion, so that everyone in your party can find something that they can enjoy if theyâre not that into Sushi. Weâll definitely go back!

Theyâve now moved from Maraval Road to Ariapita Avenue. Easy to find and parking readily available out front (most hours) or along the side streets.Thereâs a small takeaway section downstairs with the dining room upstairs. Eagleâs is a nice quiet place for a Sunday meal or for a family get together. We were pleasantly surprised to find them open on a public holiday, making them one of the few places where you can dine when the most other places are closed. The food was fine and made fresh. Still good value for decent Chinese food. Their Pork Pows remain the best anywhere (though they have gone up from $80 to $100 per dozen). There are some dishes here that are cheaper than their competitors, so hope they donât raise their prices. The servers here are conversational, good-natured and eager to please, which we like. Weâll certainly return here again!

The go- to sushi place in Trinidad, More Vino has been serving loyal customers for over a decade. With incredible Asian Fusion dishes from Japan, Korea, China and Thailand - the restaurant is famous for its sushi rolls - known to be the best on the island
I cannot comment on the sushi. From the mother's day menu I selected the stuffed mushrooms, and the steak. These two selections were very average in taste. The dessert I had was the house made chocolate cake. This was exceptional!Service was very slow but friendly. The staff seemed ill informed about the menu. The food took extremely long to come out, even the kid's pasta. The ambience inside seems very casual, the outside may be more of an experience but it was just too hot that day with the kids.May not returnHi Ackbar,We apologize that the experience was not as exceptional as we hope to offer each and every one of our guests. We are making some big changes inside the restaurant and encourage you to give us another shot, we are sure you will have a different opinion and thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

It was our first time dining there for dinner. The staff was professional and friendly. Jenise was our waitress and she was very pleasant and accommodating. She ably answered our questions and successfully requested a gluten free meal for our daughter. We will definitely be returning with friends.

Tiki Village serves Asian/Polynesian style cuisine on the 8th floor of Kapok Hotel, an independent boutique hotel, with breathtaking views of Port of Spain.
I've come to this restaurant to dine quite a few times over the past 30 years and tonight I was subjected to the worst service ever. My wife and I sat to dine at 9:10pm on Sat 9th Feb and ordered our meal. The gentleman who brought the meal was very welcoming and polite. However, we were appalled to find that the lemon chicken (part of a lemon chicken platter - combo meal) looked nothing like what we're accustomed to. It was covered in extra thick flour/egg batter and the chicken pieces looked mushy, dark and fatty. I immediately called the waitress who served us and told her we were not satisfied with this meal. She asserted in a very aggressive tone: 'that is how lemon chicken ALWAYS looks!' I told her that we will not be accepting it and to take it away. She then removed the meal in such an aggressive manner that bits of food spilled over onto the table. i calmly walked over to the hostess and asked to speak to a manager. She then called someone purporting to be a supervisor who approached me in a most nonchalant manner, asking what was the problem. She asked whether we wanted a replacement meal and I said no - that I would like the bill excluding the item. I received the bill, paid and left. While I was speaking to the supervisor, said waitress was hovering nearby listening to the exchange and watching at us. I've liked this restaurant for special occasions over the years, including business meetings because of the service and location. This is the first bad experience I've had here and I know misunderstandings may happen. But this is a management problem - firstly, serving substandard food at a premium price is unacceptable. Secondly, aggressive behaviour toward customers must not be tolerated. In my view, this is damaging to the brand.Thank you for bringing this experience to our attention and we apologise for not responding sooner. We have forwarded your comments to the team and they are in the process of reviewing the item in question in order to ensure that we have consistency. We hope that you will return in the future. Once again thank you for bringing this to our attention.

While the restaurant presents well, I beg to differ with some of the favorable responses. I had a birthday dinner here and after all is said and done, its not as good as it looks. So the ambience of the restaurant is excellent, as its furnishings are up to date so the seating and layout is really comfortable. Service was not an issue as it was as expected: moreso, I felt really welcome. But the food was not all what it said it was: plainly, this restaurant is almost a carbon copy of the mediocrity Jenney's was known for, mindful, that it is a Jenny's inspired product (owner is a former relative of Jenney?). How i judge taste, is when the temperature of a meal simmers down, only then you get past any obfuscation of the flavors. So on the menu, the food looks great, when it arrives you may be wowed.. but as you get in, the enthusiasm dies down and you may be quite surprised if you take food away in a doggy bag. Please note that parking is good. of course by the time the bill hits you, you will be thinking twice about what you have done. So I felt that the restaurant was a bit pricey and it will be some time before I save up, if I am going back. Other than that, well its a nice place available in Port of Spain for restaurant dining. Sincerely
