We had a late lunch on the first day after checking in at the Holiday Inn. It wasn't busy so we received fast friendly service - a cold beer really went down well as a pretty hot day especially as the best price we had seen in any restaurant. Shrimp cakes and pad thai were good. Went back the next night for dinner and it was really busy and service was very slow but food still good.

A chic dining venue offering authentic comfort food from around the world including Phuket's ultimate breakfast indulgence. Feel the vibes of local fresh market and a-la-carte menu prepared at its best. Guests will be mesmerized by the way chefs create to
I took breakfast here most mornings during my stay at the Renaissance Hotel. For the first few days of my holiday I had been able to eat at the peaceful beachfront Takieng restaurant with attentive waiter service - a truly 5 star experience - so it was a bit of a shock when this option was no longer available (sadly the Takieng only opens for breakfast when the hotel is very full) and I had to eat from the buffet at Loca Vore. Although the food choice at Loca Vore was very good - delicious fresh fruit, creamy oatmeal, and smoothies made to order - as well as egg dishes, noodles, pancakes, waffles and even ice cream, I just don't like busy buffets where the behaviour of other guests can make it an unpleasant experience. For example, whilst waiting for my smoothie to be mixed, I had a young boy rudely elbow me in the stomach to move me out of the way, which his mother seemed to think was acceptable; and at the fresh fruit counter I often had men reaching across me to help themselves rather than waiting politely in line, meaning I had to pause my own actions and wait for them to finish before completing my plate. So rude! Although the inside eating area felt a bit like a canteen, the eating area outside beside the lily pond was quite delightful. However, several times I had an unacceptable wait for my table to be laid and on a couple of occasions my requested coffee did not materialise. The staff seemed to spend a lot of time dealing with the requirements of a particularly demanding couple who expected to have "their" table every day and to sit down and be waited on with plates piled high with food and seemingly endless supplies of drinks. My blood boiled when the staff moved an umbrella away from my table to shade this pair. Fortunately, I had juts about finished but I was not happy to be made to feel less important. No guest should feel they are invisible in a 5 star hotel.Dear yorkshirecat56,Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. It has come to my attention that the service you received during your recent stay did not meet your expectations at our Loca Vore restaurant during breakfast. As a valued guest, I was saddened to hear of your remarks. With aspiration to always exceed guest expectations, we have unfortunately fallen short of this during your recent stay. With your recent remarks on the guests behavior during breakfast, I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Nonetheless, I would like to apologize for such a below par experience you received. We shall enhance our focus particularly on such aspects to ensure that we can provide satisfaction to all of our guests.Once again, thank you for providing feedback that will ultimately help improve our dining procedures and effectiveness. We hope you choose to stay with us again whenever your travels bring you back to Phuket so that we can provide you with a premium experience that not only meet, but exceed your expectations. If you are a foodie snob this is not for you but anyone else will enjoy a host who works hard with his family to earn a living producing decent food at very good prices. The ârestaurantâ looks like it was âfurnished â over many years of hard graft, and I recommend that you give it a try.Certainly somewhere to write home about.

Our upscale, yet affordable, Phuket fine dining restaurant offers teppanyaki in a fun atmosphere.
The main space is taken by about 3 teppanyaki tables. There is the sushi counter and other tables tooWe had the teppanyaki sets. Humorous chef, but everything was oversalted. Besides that, he cooked everything at once instead of in phases, leaving some dishes coldWe also had the sashimi platter and some of the fish wasnât sashimi gradeWe didnât order alcohol and the bill for 2 was already nearly THB10,000. Come savor local Thai specialties and secret recipes at our Thai restaurant in Phuket.
Loved the crab curry and tomyum. Slightly unusual fare (i.e. not just red curry or green curry). However, the soup dish from the kids' menu was very salty, not sure if it was a mistake on the chef's part or intentional. If intentional, I'd suggest reducing the salt / fish sauce in the dish.
