We've been here twice and both times the food has been really good.Prices are a little higher than average but the food is good and the portions are a decent size. One special fried rice was enough for three of us, as was the chow mein.All the dishes we ordered were tasty and plenty to fill us up.The only thing we didn't like was the barbecue sauce as this was more like a spicy sweet and sour and not what we were expecting.Will definitely return when we are back in Mablethorpe.

We visited the restaurant with friends who have just moved to the area. Letâs just say no one will be returning, soggy popadoms with no taste and pickles from a jar, mint yogurt awful.The curry choice was limited and no possibility of chicken tikka which is our norm when we donât know the venue style or quality of the restaurant.We waited 65 mins for the mains as they seem to be sending out more and more deliveries, we were offered more free soft poppadoms which we ate as by 8.45 pm we were starving.The curry was watery and poor quality, the naan bread was more like a tortilla than the bread, the rice had just been microwaved and all stuck together. All in all £78 for a poor quality meal that was no way authentic.Plus they tried to over charge us for a meal we didnât order.Organised chaos and the manger was turning away customers.Recommend an overhaul of the menu and the purchase a tandoori oven as a minimum.

Having had a poor takeaway a couple of years ago from here we decided to give the Taj another chance during our recent holiday. We were pleased how it had improved. We had the set meal for two and everything was fine and really tasty. It was clear to tell the food had been freshly cooked as it was still very hot when delivered. It was far nicer than the takeaway from the restaurant nearby that we had earlier in the holiday and better value.
