Best Indian in the area, heard very good things about Asha for a while now, it didnât disappoint one bit, from the beautiful building to the chic modern interior... the staff are friendly and loved to have a bit of banter with us, they were also efficient and quick to bring our drinks and courses out.The food itself was stunning, weâve tried lots of curry houses around the area and found them all under par, but this place delivers on flavour and spice, not to mention portion sizes which were great. We all started with pops and picks, the popadoms were spiced which was a nice twist, the pickle trays had the standard fair, but also spiced coconut which was delish. For starters we had the onion bhaji which were perfect and the Asha Pot, which was a tasty unusual mix of tandoori chicken with cheese, pickles and sweet potato, amazing. For mains we had Chicken Jalfrezi, Lamb Shashlick Korahi and Chicken Achari all perfectly spiced at the heat requested, with the meat cooked really well. All in all a really great place that we will be returning to many times in the future.

We did not mind the long wait for the second course. There was plenty of food but some dishes were barely warm. The drinks are pricey and the food was not value for money. The staff were very friendly, a little too friendly sometimes. You had to have a sense of humour. When it came to pay the card machine did not work and we all had to pool our cash. The restaurant is in an old building which is not wheelchair friendly. Would give this place a miss in future.

The Tai Pan used to be fabulous. Sadly, this seems to have changed. We went for the first time for ages and came away disappointed. The Peking duck was small, cold with cold pancakes and soggy cucumber. The mains were hot and a good size but sauces were full of cornflour and pretty flavourless. The decor felt faded as did the food quality. I won't be rushing back.

Unfortunately after picking up a menu and returning home, we rang to place the order but unfortunately we were told they were too busy to do takeaway orders tonight. Disappointed but we will try again another time. Canât comment on the quality of the food for obvious reasons. Hope to write a positive review next time

I said duck curry and she replied uck curry. I asked are you sure. Yes she was got my order curry sause no duck curry. Rang up Apparently my fault. If you don't understand what I'm saying don't take orders. The rest of the food. Crispy seaweed stale crispy mixed meat grisly ect ect. Lees chinese in future
