We went here after being in town for work - recommended by office workers there. It was a great experience. Love sitting at the grill for the show and the food. Excellent service and attentiveness from our waitress.

New Place- But It Is A Great One
From looking on the outside, this restaurant didn't look too appealing. The inside was nice and comfortable, however. The place isn't real big and maybe has only 7 or 8 tables plus a sushi bar area. I went about 1:00 PM and didn't have any trouble finding a place to sit. I ordered Unagi, gyoza, and a spicy chicken bento. The bento include rice, spicy chicken, norimagi (rice roll), tempura and a ginger sauce. The food was all good and it is a place that I will add to our great places to eat in Leavenworth, KS. A bento costs about $10 and appetizers are about $5 each. A couple could spend $35 for lunch, which isn't real cheap, but the quality and quantity of food is worth an occasional trip.

I hear the place gets a bad rap for its appearance. But, it is worth getting in the door here. Food is always fresh and hot and ready. The wait staff are great and always smiling.

First the good. It's easy to find with lots of parking. It's a small restaurant but the seating was adequate for everyone. We ordered the pho, egg rolls, and shrimp rolls. The pho tasted just like the pho we had in Da Nang. It's a simple noodle dish with a huge taste. The egg and shrimp rolls were very good but a different taste than what we experienced throughout Vietnam but it was very good all the same. Nothing is expensive and everything cost us under $30. The only down side was that there were only 2 egg and 2 shrimp rolls for the cost of $5 and $4 respectively. Good taste though.

Hyundai restaurant has very good and very authentic Korean food. There all sorts of dishes and one of personal favorites is the Spicy Sliced Pork or Pork Bulgogi. The spiciness can be specified when you order. There are the dishes that people stationed in South Korea are familiar with such as kimpab, rice with vegetables and meat rolled in dried seaweed and sliced bite size, yakimando or fried dumplings, different kinds of fried rice. There are squid and octopus dishes, clear noodles with meat and vegetables (japchepab), tolsut bibimbab or vegetables with ground meat and an egg over rice served in a very hot stone bowl, and many others. The side dishes are excellent and made in the restaurant. If you are looking for a taste of Korean cuisine that is authentic, this is the place in Leavenworth, KS.

While in Leavenworth recently we decided on dinner at Baan Thai. Our Cambodian officer whom we sponsor through the CGSC provided suggestions for the menu items he was most familiar with. A bonus for him was learning that our waitress spoke his native tongue, Khmer. We shared an order of Vietnamese spring rolls, along with entrees...Pad Kra Pow and Pad Prik Pow, which our officer recommended. A variety of HOT sauces, four in all, was served in a ceramic condiment set. We don't claim to be experts when it comes to Asian food. However, we can't imagine a more delicious preparation of quality, fresh ingredients. Don't let the exterior appearance of the restaurant, or a few prior negative reviews dissuade you.

I also had some Unagi (fresh eel) that was delicious and well prepared. This will be a place I will visit again.
