We have been serving the same classic Chinese recipes since we opened in 1977. We are La Jolla's favorite Chinese restaurant going on 3 generations and have continuted to be family owned and operated. Our unique flavors and recipies have been derived from
We are long time customers and in recent years we simply call ahead for "take out service," our favorite, Cashew Chicken. Our meal is packaged with care and always ready in less than 15 minutes. Be sure to request a couple of paper plates, which they will gladly place in your "to go order." Quality food, good service a winner....

We came here for dinner on a Friday night expecting it to be crowded because it's usually crowded for lunch. However, this particular Friday it wasn't crowded. Maybe because it's summer and UCSD isn't in full swing. Anyway, we really like the menu selection here. They have good choices for pho, rice dishes and noodle dishes at a reasonable price and good portion sizes. I had the lemongrass pork noodle salad. The taste was good. The pork was a little on the tough side. My husband ordered the grilled chicken noodle salad and really liked it. One of our friends who never had pho before ordered the rare steak noodle soup and really liked it. I have had their noodle soups before and like how the soup is seasoned. Not too salty. Just right. The food came fast and service was good. No constant checking on how we are doing which is what we prefer. The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is the tv's that are showing different shows. It's distracting.

Was visiting San Diego with work and a local colleague suggested we had dinner at Himitsu in La Jolla. What an amazing place. Absolutely delicious sushi, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a must-visit location for anyone who loves sushi. I can't wait to visit again.

I wasnât sure what to expect. When we arrived I had my doubts - it looked a bit grubby and in serious need of redecoration. But the food was surprisingly good. We had chicken makhani, a mixed tandoori grill, raitha and garlic and coriander naan. Iâm not sure Iâll revisit. Iâm searching for the best in SDcounty, not sure Iâve found it yet. Naan was really good- lighter, thinner than normal and delicious. Too much oil floating in the bottom of the tandoori hot plate. Unassuming service, very sweet. All in all a good spot maybe Iâll be back in a few months. Donât come here expecting to be blown away but just come expecting tasty, authentic food without any frills

The university area is more quiet in the summertime but this restaurant was near full and the majority was Asian, a sure sign that the quality is high. We were not disappointed. The price level was quite ok. 10 lobster rolls for approx. $ 20

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon while in La Jolla. The restaurant has both outside and inside seating. We opted to sit inside although it was a very nice day in La Jolla. The restaurant is very pleasant and comfortable. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the music is pleasing and not loud. You are greeted by great Thai hospitality and feel very welcome. The service is attentive and we ordered a dishes of shrimp with vegetables and pad see eu. The food was excellent and the orders were very generous. We had enough for another meal. The prices are also very reasonable. Great place to eat in La Jolla.

Flavors were clean.. it was a bit run down and homey but the prices were reasonable and 20%off from 4-8 happy hour. It was much better than sushi ota which i had a few nights earlier and service was much more polite and less pretentious. It was a great meal after the day at the beach.

The food here is absolutely wonderful - fresh ingredients spiced and seasoned to perfection in the classic Thai way. We specified a spice level of 2 and could still feel a bit of heat - the way we like it! We had the larb (sooooo good), chicken satay (grilled to perfection), Tom Kha soup (one of the best we ever tasted) and the Crying Tiger rib steak (very, very good). The service on Sunday evening was wonderful. The restaurant is large and was about half full when we arrived. We sat in the patio to enjoy the pleasant fall evening and the heater kept things cozy. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. Tumeric Thai is tucked away in a small mall near the top of Mt. Soledad, not hard to find with google maps!

Came across this place whilst passing through la Jolla. Menu was nice and easy to navigate - a good but not overwhelming selection. We went for the set lunch deal which was 6 nigiri, 8 Cali rolls and miso soup for 22 dollars - all super fresh and delicious; great value. The teriyaki bowls (chicken and beef) were also great - packed with veg so felt really healthy. Staff were friendly and service speedy. Would recommend.
An exotic blend of noodles, seafood, and rice, offering a plethora of unique dishes spiced up and enhanced by condiments and salads. Fruits, encouraged by the tropical climate, are also an important part of this cuisine. Myanmar people emphasize on the co
Up a couple of flights of stairs on the beach side of Girard. We dined on the patio. Attentive service. Tasty sushi. They didn't mind altering dishes for vegetarian (tofu for chicken). No-nonsense seaweed salad and excellent spicy cucumber salad. The curries at the next table looked good too. Reasonable prices. Very casual.
