Things to do in Kintamani
One of many local restaurants in and around Kintamani. I can recommend their chicken dishes, particularly satays. Servings are generous and budget priced, mainly Rp30000-70000/$A3-7. Their ice-cold drinks are very welcome too ! Service was attentive and eager to please. Visit and enjoy !
What a great find. The view over the Kintamani volcano and Lake Batur was our setting for a local food adventure. We had the fried local fish, Mujair in a fabulous spicy sauce. The fish soup with the same fish was also very aromatic, served with the local "Japan". Our third dish was the classic Cap Cay and the nasi campur meant we ordered too much for three! All the food was great. Just watch out for the pricing. There are no prices on the menu. The owner asked where we were from and how long we had been here. She was sussing us out to see if she could rip us off!! I asked our local driver how much it would cost and she was going to charge us four times as much!! A bit of negotiating and the price came down. We probably still paid too much but 287k was about $9AUD per head and we weren't going to haggle any more. But you should
What happy I am to see on the way to Volcano at the Lake and Mount Batur have an internet access, free wifi are possible too, sit down with local people and having lunch for break time , they serve lalapan ( Fish and Chicken, with local tasted of sambal/chilli sauce) meat ball and gado gado are possible too with the price pretty much good itâs around 30k- 50k included drinks, love tropical fruit would be nice to order some fresh juice and I really love tamarillo juice.Yes do agree with a beautiful view on the rooftop to see Mout Agung and Abang Hill from East View , can imagine how beautiful sunrise come up and how beautiful mount Batukaru view to see from west feel can enjoy sunset as well.Great value as can feel at home during break time, the owner so welcome and be friends as really open minded to get some input on it.Thank you for treat me like your family,,,
Our driver took us to Abang Sari for our lunch in Kintamani. Well since we have had too much of meat (pork & duck) during our time in Ubud, we decided on fish instead. We decided to order 3 different fish dishes and a Bintang to go along with it. We found to food to be satisfactory and tasty enough to please us allWell, you can give this restaurant a try when in Kintamani.

Danu Lounge specialises in fusion world cuisine, using the best available fresh locally grown ingredients.Danu Lounge is perched on the top floor of the Deluxe Block of Lakeview Hotel, and is open from 3:30AM to 10PM. It is a relaxed venue for all-day bre
My worst Bali restaurant experience. I've visited Danu three times in two days - not my choice - as a part of local trips. The buffet was worse that an average "all you can eat" in a crappy Australia hotel. Very few choices, almost cold food and basically tasteless. The following day we dropped in for a 3am coffee before the Mouth Batur trek. It boggles the mind how it's possible to serve coffee that tastes so poor when one has a restaurant in Bali - they make good coffee in Bali you know.. Visited the restaurant for lunch later the same day. This time we were given a tasting plate which again consisted of basically cold and tasteless food. The staff were unsmiling and pretty much useless. Usually a nice smile can mask general incompetence but there was so much clueless-ness in that place and so few smiles that nothing could save this experience for me.It's rather sad to think that there are no alternatives to this dire place. Such a pity that the stunning views are wasted by this poor excuse for a restaurant.Wow, that's quite a damning report, and quite a surprise to receive during our combined Hindu and Muslim festive season when all the staff should have quite high morale. I will send in some mystery guests to give me a more detailed report as when I'm on duty things seem quite ok. I'm sorry to hear that our service did not match your expectations.

We are small restaurant with friendly service, an a la carte menu (local Indonesian food) such as grilled fish fresh from Lake Batur, beautiful views of Mount Batur, Mount Abang, Mount Agung and Lake Batur.
Visited this little place prior to attempting the pushbikes. The views are breathtaking and the food very basic but very nice. The service is fantastic and very friendly, if you venture up to kintamani this place has the best views.

We were brought here by our guide. This was a buffet restaurant. There were lots of food but the majority of it were just to fill the stomach. The only food that was I felt was good enough was the chicken satay. But, it was BBQ so slowly that you would not want to stand around to wait for it. I suspect this was done deliberately to discourage people like me 8). This is a restaurant I would not recommend.

We open for:breakfast, all you can eat buffet lunch, alacarte, tapas and afternoon tea
We presently surprised as we were driving to Besakih temple after our sunrise experience and we hadn't eaten anything all morning. We were looking for a decent restaurant to eat at when we came across this beautiful restaurant in Kintamani. The restaurant is huge and they directed us to go to the top of the restaurant and OMG the views are gorgeous! You see Mount Batur and the entire valley below. What a wonderful place to eat breakfast. They had an extensive breakfast buffet which was reasonably priced and had a lot of food - even eggs cooked to order. The service was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place.

We went to this place since we read good reviews here, and we didnt want to do buffets.First the good part - staff is very friendly, traditional food (satay) was nice as well, they cook it fresh unlike most other places in this area, from what we gather from the reviews. They serve their own house wine, a rose wine with a surprisingly strong taste. We got a bottle and cant complain, though am not sure if it was very hygeonic ! The views, as usual, are great. The bad part: This restaurant is clearly stretched in terms of staff. The two staff members were completely swamped, running around managing at least 7 families, with more waiting. Kitchen is even smaller, our food came almost an hour late, mains came before small bites. Not all items were great too... Spring rolls were raw, fries were bad. Finally, the view is great perhaps for the 3 tables on the edge, all others are inside and offer a partial view.Overall, i would revisit this place if I manage to get one of the 3 outer tables, and stick to drinks and traditional food, and have time on hand. Perhaps, this place is the best option in the area for a leisurely traditional bali lunch, when you can afford to spend 90mins+. But if you are in a hurry (most people are on a crazy day log ubud tour), skip this. If you want to enjoy the view with only a beer / coffee, there are better places nearby.I am giving 3* since the staff misguides on time required for food preparation (15 mins promised, it took an hour, they can be more honest about this) and they clearly mismanage orders, we got our food much after another group, that came long after we placed our order, and we could see at least one couple that arrived before us, and still waiting for their food! They add 10% tax, but overall it is not pricey at all.

The food was ok, but the service was really bad. First the tables were full of plates with leftovers from previous lunchs and second it took forever to be served. Not recomended. took for ever to be served
