The food here is wonderful here, but that is only part of the overall dining experience. This visit was not particularly good from a service point of view- rather slow and 'surly' ? Certainly not what we expected. Restaurant lacked any atmosphere. We will return when back in Hull as the food is wonderful but they do need to address the important ' service' aspects. They have been trading at this site for some time and should therefore know what is expected in this department ?!

We come here very regularly with my husband and his grandad and the food is always top quality the garlic delight is the best curry I have ever eaten and the South Indian although a little hot for my taste is really flavourful for a hot curry.the service is always friendly and the portions are a good size would strongly recommend

We called in here last week to try it out and were pleasantly surprised. The place is small but the food is absolutely fantastic! everything was cooked to perfection and far better than some other supposedly Thai restaurants I've been in. The staff were very helpful, although I did chuckle when one kept asking if I was sure the food wasn't too spicy... That's how I like it! This place is a little gem.

When I go out for a meal, I don't often think of going for an Indian. On this occasion though, I fancied an Indian meal and was recommended Bengal Lounge.My wife and I arrived and were sat at our reserved table right when we arrived. We ordered drinks and were served those promptly.We each ordered a starter and main. The food was very lovely, hot and spiced just right. The Naan bread was really tasty and perfect to mop up the extra sauce on the plate.It was a good meal and reasonable priced...I'd defo go back!

Having had a great night at a gin festival, 7 of us decided Chinese would be a good idea. Tucked away out of the busy centre, and 5 minutes walk from the station,this was a lucky find. Good food, huge portions! 4 of us shared a banquet - to be honest we could have had a banquet for 2 and had enough. Three opted for their own selections. Everything was very nice,piping hot, good service. We finished off with custard cream buns, because we were intrigued - turned out to be deep fried doughnut type cakes and absolutely delicious! One of our party deemed it the best Chinese sheâs ever had! Would recommend! Donât expect luxurious surroundings, but a good choice of dishes and very reasonable £147 for 7 people including beers, and we wobbled out absolutely stuffed!!

I honestly cannot rank the food any higher than that you'd get from an average take-away. The taste of the vegetables was overly masked by the stock liquid used for cooking, and gave the dish a very samey taste throughout. The vegetable tempura was reasonable, but the batter wasn't the best I've had, and the oil didn't taste as if it was sparklingly fresh. I really hate giving underwhelming reviews, but unfortunately this is one of them. Perhaps they were just having a bad day.

This place doesnt look particularly great from the outside and the interior is not particularly inspiring. However they do serve the most amazing Vietnamese dishes ranging from aromatic to very spicy. Separate vegan menu available too. Efficent and friendly service. A lovely dining experience.
