We went to Fuji San while staying at the Quality Inn because it was cold and damp outside and we just didn't feel like going back outside. You can get to the restaurant from the Hotel. We arrived and a young women came to seat us in a mostly empty restaurant. We said we wanted the Habachi seating, we were asked if we both were ordering Habachi, which we were, but I was given the impression that if only one of us was we wouldn't be allowed to sit there. They seated us at an empty table and within minutes moved us to another table in another room. there were 4 Habachi tables in each room that we were in. The table next to us had 3 people finishing their meal. We ordered and our chef came out and did a great job of cooking and interacting with us, even though it was just 2 of us at the table. He didi the typical tossing of the egg, onion volcano, and even offered the saki squirt in the mouth ( water for the child) The food was very tasty! I had the HIbachi Steak and my neice had the Habachi steak and shrimp. Our meal came with the miso soup, salad with way too much dressing, fried rice and veggies. Heres where the strange part comes in...We were enjoying our meal when 2 waitresses stood by us kind of staring at us, then one of them gave us take home containers and continued to watch us eat. Finally I looked at one of them and said, is there something I can help you with? She aske me how much longer we would be? I responded with were still eating and when we finish we will be done! we hadn't been eating all that long! then when she obviously didn't like my answer, another came up and asked if we would mind moving to a regular table. I did mind, but we moved. Apparently they had a party of 32 people who arrived shortly after they moved us! Why they sat us there when they knew they had a large party arriving and why did they move us in the first place? it kind of ruined the experience for us and I doubt I will ever go back.

My husband and I went to the Kampai restaurant recently. We made a reservation for the Hibachi grill. Glad we did, as it is very popular. Our chef, Justin, was GREAT ! Very good at cooking and enjoyed talking with the customers and answering questions. It was fun having dinner with total strangers - because by the end of the meal, we found out we had a lot in common. The food was VERY good. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant - nothing negative at all to comment on.

We normally never complain or post reviews but we had to post this time!!!! Zero would be our rating. We have been to this place and liked it - not anymore!!!We we so disappointed!!!Restaurant dirty!!! We were there at restaurant âslow timeâ where you should see cleaning, etc. NOPE!!! We did see employees standing around conversing and not cleaning during this time.Tables dirty, floor dirty, buffet dirty, restrooms dirty!! Giving the appearance the benefit of the doubt we stayed and tried the food - should not have. Soggy food, cold food, buffet serving area dirty and sticky. Even the Ice Tea and Soda tasted awful!!Cannot post even one possitive about this place!!! My family along with her church family will be coming for a competition and they always go here - I informed NOT to go!!!

The Chinese Food here is generally pretty good - and maybe a small step up from standard Chinese takeout fare. But the last time we ordered, they put all of our takeout into a cardboard storage box labeled "Tidy Cats." Although the food was covered/packaged, the thought still repulsed many of the people in our family. In all fairness, I don't think they are unsanitary and I can probably chalk this up as a "lost in translation" language issue. But still, please don't put food into a box that holds liter used for cat excrement. We'll probably be back again because the food is consistently good. But I really don't want to see this happen again. I would have given them four stars, but I'm taking one off for questionable takeout packaging practices.

This small Thai restaurant is at a sleepy corner of downtown Johnson City. Interior decoration is lovely and exotic. Service is very good. Ordered beef balls as appetizer and crispy chicken pad thai for entree. The former is tasty while the latter is a bit too sweet. Price is very fair.

Large variety of Thai dishes to choose from, nicely prepared and even customized to your taste. Delish soups, vegetarian main dishes and appetizers, sushi. Also what looks like a full bar. Always good to make reservations. In good weather thereâs outside seating overlooking the river. Just wish they wouldnât charge extra for brown rice instead of white - they really donât need to. This is a very popular place for the student population as well as for the adult community. A nice place to go after an event at The Forum or at the Arena. Friendly service thatâs efficient unless the place is packed.Would definitely recommend.

Phuong Nam doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you step inside it's Pho heaven. I started off with the summer rolls (rice, shrimp and lettuce) served with peanut butter sauce. Delicious. For my main course I got the Pho Tai (Pho with Eye round steak). It was topped with onions and scallions. Toppings were bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime and a stalk of fresh basil. The broth was rich with flavor and the steak came medium rare (the way I like it). To cook it more you would just have to immerse it into the hot broth a little longer. I topped it with the bean sprouts, jalapenos and basil and lime. It's a sin not to use all the toppings provided. Needless to say I ate every drop. The last few sips were intense with flavor. This meal inspired me to make homemade pho two days later. It was that good.
