Reviews on Asian food in Isle of Wight, England, United Kingdom. The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy some peace, quiet and natural beauty. Except perhaps in the summer, when the Isle of Wight Festival draws visitors from all over the world. In 1970, the Festival was the largest rock-music event ever held. It was called Britain's Woodstock and featured Jimi Hendrix and The Who. (Not so much peace or quiet that week.) The island is also known for its world-famous sailing and lovely resorts, where people have been vacationing since Victorian times.

Have visited here several times before while in Shanklin and have had really great meals. This visit however was a slight disappointment with the stir fried vegetables raw and the chicken with cashew nuts a touch too sweet for our taste. The beef Mussaman curry however was fabulous as were the chicken satay and ribs starters. We still enjoyed the meal, and the service as always was friendly and polite. Same good value as previous. Would still recommend this place and will visit again.

Had a meal in this restaurant whilst in Shanklin last week. I had the Mussels with ginger and lemongrass soup for starter. The rest of the meal was good but the soup was spectacular. The first sip literally took my breath away because it went down the wrong way. But after I had recovered it proved to be delicious. Worth the visit just for the soup.

A jazz cafe & vegan tapas bar with regular live music set in the courtyard of the picturesque and historic Staplehurst Grange.
We were at Django's for the music, wondering whether the long drive into the countryside would be worth it. Any fears were soon dispelled by the attractive setting, lovely buildings, and friendly welcome. I only had a piece of cake, but it was delicious. As delicious as the music, in fact, but Paul Armfield, like Django's, is well worth finding.
