When traveling I-26 across South Carolina we usually break up our trip with a lunch stop in Columbia. Miyos is a favorite destination. It is fairly conveniently located off the Harrison exit and offers a quick, reasonably priced lunch. The only dish I can comment on is the one we always order. We have never been disappointed by the garlic shrimp with veggies from the wok menu. The shrimp are just right and the brown garlic sauce is perfect. There is a nice variety of vegetables and we choose the vegetable fried rice. The portion is impressive for $8.95. Then, before we know it, we are refreshed and back on the road to finish our trip.
While in the area I decided to stop by and try this place out. Similar restaurants in the area provide a decent amount of food for the money, not this place. I ordered the "every day special" which includes teriyaki chicken, hibachi shrimp, rice and veggies. The food barely filled an 8 inch partitioned plate. I've never seen so little meat served on special. The food tasted fine. They seem to have a very large selection of items to choose from but most are priced a little higher than I expected.Never know unless you give them a try.

Disgusting food and awful management. Went to Yamato to celebrate my girlfriend's new job and we were really excited to get hibachi but the food was practically inedible. The white sauce was very sour and tasted as if it had gone rancid. The rice also tasted as if it had been doused in rancid oil. The chef and server were very nice but when I went to the managers and told them the issue they said, we'll look into it and walked off while I was still talking. They then stayed in the back of the restaurant, no where to be found and no help to us. They could have at least offered us some new sauce or rice but they clearly don't care about the customers. Will never return to Yamato, will try the other Japanese steakhouse down the road next time. All in all, we left with full plates and empty stomachs.

Older Chinese restaurant, which is in Irmo. The buffet is small-with typical, standard fare. the regular menu is pretty much standard as well. Added hibachi-which does upgrade the place. The place does do delivery. Never had any complaints about the food/service, but nothing really strikes me as "Wow".

You can dine like a king on great oriental food, including sushi, wok, and many other delicious side dishes. Deserts are available too. Wok offers seafood, chicken, and beef in a stir fry with veggies of your choice. Variety of drinks are available, but green tea is included.

We have been. Coming to the Irmo area for over a year for work!! By far this is the best Chinese food in town!! They don't deliver because they dont have to! (( Just a note we have tried all the Chinese delivery in town more than once and none are good ))). This is why we now pick it up from here when we want Chinese food so worth it!!

I was skeptical about this restaurant at first but once we got seated and the waitress explained the different things about their menu I was happy to try it. The all you can eat menu was quite overwhelming but easily manageable once explained. Just make sure you come hungry because you pay for what you don't eat! Lol I enjoyed our meal and will return. Sushi was pretty good as well as the appetizers and desserts on their menu.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner for four, sushi, lettuce cups, soup, fried rice and appetizers. Great service and pleasant environment. Close to our hotel. Absolutely loved the ginger sauce!

Our cook was quite good and very funny; however I think we received WAY TOO MUCH rice and not enough vegetables and meats. The sauces are quite good. The other wait staff was very efficient and helpful. It all depends on if you are looking for good value vs. a good show. With the tip, our bill was almost $50 and I do not think we received anywhere near the amount of food I would expect for this amount of money, even considering that we took advantage of the "early bird specials".

I have been going to Sun Ming pretty much every Sunday for the past 3 years. They have simply the best traditional and American modernized chinese food I have ever been to. While some of the staff are kind of blunt, that is just a part of their culture and I respect that. It is made up by the owner who stands at the front desk who has the most smiling and friendly personality ever! Great food! Great staff! Great everything!
