Come here a lot with family and Christmas time, family tradition and new additions to the family, itâs imperative for it!! Usually the Christmas time, as busy as it is itâs usually perfect for us, very friendly and accommodating but when it comes to take out it changes completely, rude staff, no attentive to their customers and very poor quality food.We will remain for Christmas as itâs our tradition but not to sure about take out as the food has dropped and the quality isnât the best.Hope to see improvements.

We dined here on Sunday and had their set Sunday menu. The food was so fresh, presented beautifully and tasted delicious. The restaurant itself is immaculately clean and decorated nicely. Staff were all lovely. Best curry we have had in ages so will be going back soon.

Travelling from South Wales I was looking for somewhere local to eat and came across this little gem. I had the vegetarian options and was not disappointed. The food was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. Only ever heard great things about the Swaadesh so last night a group of ten of us ventured in, We really wasn't to be disappointed & was treated like royalty from the moment we arrived, actually reminded me of the scene from coming to America when Rose petals were sprinkled on the floor wherever the young Prince went, that's how much the waiters looked after you. Another bonus was taking your own alcohol which always helps save the pennies. No corkage charge either so yet again another result.Regarding the food I have to say I've travelled just about all four corners of our wonderful planet and spent quiet a lengthy amount of time in India/Bangladesh in my younger days, I lived off all the top street food stalls in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata & Hyderabad for near on 18 months and the Swaadesh beats all of those hands down. We all chose different dishes and we were blown away by the quality. It's just little things that makes it special too, extra orange segments and chocolate sweets for everyone at the end. It truly is a wonderful place to eat and I'm in no doubt the number one curry house not only in tameside but in the Northwest.If there was one negative to take from the night which I'd hope the management will address, I had nowhere to hang my coat up.Many thanksCraig/Shane and the gang xHello Craig, appreciate your kind words and comments. It's a vegetarian indian restaurant in Ashton under Lyne and is probably the best veggie restaurant I've ever visited! Superb food, very cheap and a varied menu!

Visited here to eat for first time and was impressed by the food, ambience and decor. Whilst there are lots of restaurants in the UK claiming to be âIndianâ, this one is definitely an authentic Indian restaurant with well made and good value food. Service was a little hit and miss but overall a great place to visit for traditionally Street food and mains. Iâll certainly look to return. We also bought some food to take away including Indian sweets (mithai) and samosas - again excellent quality and lots of vegan choice. Well done Lilyâs!

Have bought curries from Nat and Jan for a number of years now. Their bombay potatoes, lamb keema and stuffed aubergines (need to order a few days in advance) are to die for. Now have seating.One of a small number of businesses in Ashton doing very well because they know their market.

Visited the Plaza with a party of 12 , service was fantastic our waiter Taz was brilliant and had a great sense of humour! Food was excellent and arrived quickly. Nothing to complain about at all . Iâve been to the Plaza a few times and it never disappoints.

After reading the reviews, I thought we'd try it. Not in a particularly nice area. My own fault I suppose, but it wasn't until we started ordering we found out they haven't got a license, so I had to drive round to Morrison's to buy a bottle, which was another disappointment as they don't keep wines in a fridge. The starters were far too oily. The sticky rice was more like glue rice. The other main courses were tasty.

We just had a meal at this wonderful bistro. The staff were excellent suggesting dishes and were not at all pushy. The food was the best we have had for a long time. The whole place is geared to helping the customer enjoy their food. I would have absolutely no hesitation about giving the highest recommendation to this superb eatery.
