Mehmaan Rustic Indian Restaurant is an authentic Indian food and not fusion like all other restaurant. All our ingredient are fresh and freshly prepared even chicken, lamb and fish we served are fresh and not frozen, as we believe in quality and not quant
We visited this restaurant after staying away for 18 months having previously been disappointed by the state of the toilets and the attitude of 1 waiter. The food at this restaurant was excellent as always but we were sadly let down again by the service and condition of the toilets. We booked a table for 7.30 but we arrived early although we were seated immediately and served papadums and drink we had to wait 45 minutes for our starter and a further half an hour for main course even though there were only four tables with people on ,when we requested coffee and desserts we were told we close early on a Sunday (it was 9.40 and restaurant closes at 10.30)and coffee machine is switched off.He told us they had no ice cream only Indian dessert .When one of our party protested that we had booked in advance and how they could have not have coffees he walked over to the coffee machine and said it's okay its still on ,knowing full well it was as he was in charge. After leaving a generous tip due to excellent food ,outdide lights were switched off before we got to the door leaving us stumbling in the dark.

We called in for the evening buffet, having already had the lunchtime menu which we found to be excellent. £20.95 per person for 4 different courses. We had two each of the starters which were very good. The duck with pancakes were also good, although not enough duck meat for more than 2 pancakes each. From here in, the portions got smaller, and the service slower. I had large diet coke my wife had tap water with ice. When reordering, my wife was told to help herself to tap water, no ice available. The chicken with salt & pepper was just 4 small nuggets of chicken. The beef in the beef with tomato was rather chewy so I left it. The rest was ok. Just waiting for our ice cream, I have put my glasses on, just in case. A bit disappointing as started at 5 stars but dropped as time progressed. Ah just turned up with ice cream, clearly the kids portion.

Excellent food and service, something for all the family to try, we had a set menu for 2 and choose your own for 2, everything was first class, very tasty and a lot of different flavours. The owner Neil was pleasant to talk to, very courteous, and generous with the sakè!!! All in all a first class experience. Thank you for a lovely evening and we are looking forward to the next one.

Took our two small grandchildren and their parents to what we understand is a recently re-opened restaurant. What a good choice, service was attentive and food was delicious. Our grandchildren (3+ & 5+) shared a chicken korma with rice - nothing left for Grandad who had a speciality lamb dish which was excellent. As a family we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and being close to our daughters home in Cob Gate, we know they will be using from now on as their preferred takeaway provider! Well done to all at the Darjeeling.

Love the Palace. The management is a hoot, constantly walking around communicating with patrons. Food is fresh, tasty and pleasant to the eye. I would recommend the Palace to anyone, not just in the Holbeach area but those willing to travel a few miles for a good atmosphere and EXCELLENT Chinese food.

We have a very good Indian Restaurant near where we live but love to try others when travelling around and its hard to admit but Chameli is now our number 1 . All the flavours came through and everything had a wonderful clean taste , there was nothing on the plate you could fault , wish we lived nearer as visits would be regular .

Brought the family here last night and was not disappointed. The quality of the food was, as always, superb. Holbeach is so lucky having a number of good restaurants with the Krua Thai at the top of the stack for the quality of its food. We all had the mixed starter which was superb, so good in fact that I had to order more Thai fish cakes and satay! Then the mains which was a selection of Chicken, Beef & Pork dishes the latter, similar to a sweet and sour but with the pork coated in a crispy batter with sesame seeds, was simply the best I've ever had. Overall a very good experience and very reasonably priced in fact probably cheaper than other restaurants in area.
