The Hook of Holland (Dutch: Hoek van Holland, pronounced [ˈɦuk fɑn ˈɦɔlɑnt] ( listen)) is a town in the southwestern corner of Holland (hence the name; hoek means "corner"), at the mouth of the New Waterway shipping canal into the North Sea. The town is administered by the municipality of Rotterdam as a district of that city. Its district covers an area of 16.7 km, of which 13.92 km is land. On 1 January 1999 it had an estimated population of 9,400.

I visited the Lotus 10years ago when I was in Brielle and it was Brilliant then.Again this June I find myself back in the area and revisited the resteraunt.I have to say again I was not disappointed it was fantastic.The staff are friendly the place has a great atmosphere and above all the food served ranks as the best chineese food I have ever tasted.I would say this is a must visit place to eat for people who enjoy chineese food of which some of it is cooked in front of you.

Direct in het centrum ligt dit modern ingerichte restaurant. Strak ingericht. 5 rondes van 5 hapjes inclusief 1 toetjesitem (ijs, fruit of creme brulee).exclusief drinken, wat best duur is hier. Japanse thee is 2,65. Uitgebreide keus sushi en grill. Op de kippenvleugeltjes na (te lang gebakken, harde korst) was alles perfect, origineel en prima opgediend. Het personeel is wel jagerig. Drankjes worden in een flesje gepresenteerd. Zit er nog iets in je flesje gieten ze dat in je glas en nemen flesje mee. Ook zi je met een laatste hap van een gerecht in je mond terwijl het schoteltje ervan direct wordt afgeruimd.De laatste ronde houden ze geen rekening met je toetje. Die wordt gewoon geserveerd met risico dat andere items nog gebracht moeten worden. Ook geen gratis koffie na afloop.Prijs is redelijk. In weekend 26 euro.

De Spaanse Vloot is niet meer. Nu is hier brasserie Chapter verrezen. Een mooie aanwinst voor het dorp. Een vriendelijke bediening vraagt al snel wat te willen drinken. De drank/snackkaart is uitgebreid. Er wordt een goede koffie geschonken (Nespresso). De lunchkaart biedt ruime keuze. Er zijn diverse soorten broodjes, lunchspecials en een lunchplankje (waaronder een mosterdsoepje). Ik besluit tot een clubsandwich die rijkelijk is belegd en vergezeld gaat van Cassave kroepoek. Het nodigt zeker uit om hier eens te dineren. Rolstoeltoegankelijk.

Wij kozen verschillende kleine gerechten (hapjes) Ã la carte. Die waren allemaal even lekker. Aardige dames in de bediening en er wordt in een rap tempo gewerkt. Met stokjes eten, dat zagen wij nogal wat mensen doen, maar er werd keurig gevraagd of wij soms liever met vork en mes aten. Voor mensen die niet zo van sushi houden is er wel iets anders om van te genieten. Veel variatie op de kaart!Het restaurant zit naast de hal van de Stena Line, dus voor de passagiers die van Hoek van Holland naar Harwich reizen een goede plek om eerst even lekker te eten. Wij hebben dit nu twee keer gedaan en het is ons heel goed bevallen.

Was not to bad, but also not great. I like the style of food and the seats were really nice... Food was good, the service.. Mmmm.. to much pushing for more.. etc.. The kid was young, and he was enthousiast, but sometimes a bit to much present. When we asked him to give us some space.. it was better...Dear F792LSpeterv,Thanks you for your review. Good to hear that you enjoyed the food. But annoying to hear that our employee seemed a bit pushy. That is of course not the intention. Very good Indian cuisine, If have been there twice now and the food is great, it is like family dining, a great concept, we had some tandoori and curry dishes to share with each other, very nice, a small taste of India, the curry was just great, well balanced, also the butter chicken, my favourite, very nice to have this restaurant in 's-Gravenzande thank you. Hope to welcome you soon again!

The location is great, in the former trainstation. But... the foodpresentation isnât great. The waitresses were are asking to frequently if you want something to drink (the drinks are not included in the price). The dessert (always icecream in these sort of restaurant) is very cheap ice. The taste of the icecream is really poor!!!!

The best thing about this Indonesian. Chinese restaurant is that the staff also have their meals there, shows that they are happy to eat along with customers. Food is of generous portions, and well cooked. Loads of choice with a really good atmosphere
