Had lunch here and it was delicious. Hibachi filet mignon was tender and perfectly prepared. Appetizer of vegetable tempura was very good as well. Good service and atmosphere.

This is a terrific spot for a quick but absolutely delicious and very satisfying lunch or light dinner. The YAKI-GYOZA and edamame were perfect and our entrees were all steaming-ly delicious, just bursting with aroma, and flavors. Service was attentive and courteous without being annoying. The ambience and noise levels allowed normal conversation as well. There are many restaurants in Middletown - do not miss this one!

Excellent Thai restaurant in downtown Middletown, CT. This place is spotless with great service. The ingredients were fresh and the selections were inventive. We came across Thai Gardens purely by accident and will make it a frequent stop for lunch when traveling up Route 9 through Middletown. You won't be disappointed.

Several failed restaurants have been in this location before- the newest owners and staff are incredibly friendly, fairly priced, and offer the best menu to date. By far, our favorite Japanese or Chinese restaurant for several towns in any direction. Keep up the good work!

Our friends who live near the area took us there, great choice! Lots of special sushi rolls, I tried the Snow White roll with spicy tuna, very special and yummy! Ordered a sushi and sashimi combo, very fresh fish and definitely value for money. Strongly recommended if you are looking for a Japanese place in Middletown

Couldnât wait to return to enjoy dinner here after over a yearâs absence. I opted to relish my favorite entree, General Tso Chicken. Iâve tried it at many other places all across the country and the General Tso Chicken here is absolutely mouth watering. As usual the portions are more than ample at a unbeatable price of $17.00. The staff is always top notch and the bartender is a fantastic person whom I have known for over 10 years. Such a delightful man. The Forbidden City should be on your must try list in Middletown on your next visit. Only regret that I live over 1,000 miles away from this hidden treasure.

Had lunch here with my cousin/friend and it was delicious. Started with cd spicy sesame noodles and then on to bok choy with mushrooms and chicken with white rice and then chicken dumplings with cabbage salad with sesame vinagrette dressing. Enjoyable lunch, just wish they offered Brown rice though.

We had lunch here. The restaurant is like a lot of Asian restaurants, the interior is not inspiring. We ordered the Thom Kha soup twice, both with chicken. Good but not special. As main we had a curry, very very spicy and the lemon grass steak. We asked if the curry could be made a little less spicy but the waitress said it was impossible with the curries. Missed chance. Both dishes in the end not that special. The service is like in any Asian restaurant, quick without any personal interest.

We won a gift card from this restaurant and very glad that we got a chance to eat here. Food was so much lighter and fresher than we expected. Very nice. Good service except that we had to ask for chopsticks as there were only knives and forks on the table. Food was wonderful--presentation delightful. I hope to go back there.

We found Po's by accident--and a lucky accident, for sure. The restaurant lives in an unassuming, nearly invisible converted older house. The first floor has been gutted and tastefully, understatedly remodeled and redecorated. We've driven by it about 100 times since its founding four years back. Only the sandwich board sign on the sidewalk kept us from driving by yet again. Our wait staff showed up promptly and took drink orders from a competent, reasonably priced wine list. For a complementary amuse-bouche, we enjoyed a cup of warm popcorn. Nice touch! My wife ordered the macadamia fried rice and loved it. Her generous portion provided her dinner the next night.I got the crispy fried shrimp with dipping sauce and broccoli on the side. Perfect preparation left the shrimp crispy and tender. The sweet dipping sauce registered low on the hotness scale and went well on the accompanying brown rice. For dessert, we split a pistachio cream confection, the most unusual offering of the night. Light, smooth, a perfect finishing touch. We'll be back--and we'll remember to make a reservation if we choose a weekend, as the little house filled right up at 5:45 on a Saturday night.
