I was quite surprised that in ROC there was a Korean restaurant that didn't dumb down the food. Six banchan all well done. Kimchi could have been a bit spicier. Soodofu was very good. The bibimbap was good but the stone pot wasn't hot enough to get the rice crispy.

Seriously great food and great service. We had the curry chicken rice, spicy noodles, Kung Pao chicken, and pork and green pepper dumplings. Everything was outstanding. Be forewarned though this is not your standard Americanized Chinese food you would get at a buffet. This is vibrant and spicy and delicious.

I'm in love with pajeon, in love, I tell you! And if you're not, you've never had it -- or never had it prepared correctly. How can one go wrong with the combination of the satisfying crunchy goodness of the edges adorned with the savory bulk of the vegetables? And then...oh then...you dip that baby in the salty, acidic dipping sauce. True happiness. (Oh, and the dipping sauce? Equal parts soy sauce and vinegar, combined with a small twist of lemon. Delish!) Pajeon (Korean pancake) and Beef Bulgogi are my Korean comfort foods. I've eaten them at all three local Korean restaurants, as well as in Korean restaurants in Portugal, Spain, and Australia. (If you enjoy Asian foods and have already visited their countries of origin, I encourage you to visit Sydney. Street after street of very good, reasonably priced Korean and Japanese restaurants. Their quirky early history of discriminating against Asian immigrants unless they were cooks, has created an Asian foodlovers unsuspecting paradise.)The pajeon at Young's is decent. I slightly prefer Sodams, as it tends to be crispier, but certainly Young's versions is quite acceptable. The Bulgogi, I find a bit unremarkable. The meat seems less seasoned and has a haggard look about it. It also is a bit too dry. However, the onions and scallions are nicely glazed, unlike at Seoul Garden, where they once were served nearly raw.As others have mentioned, the ambience is somewhat clinical with fluorescent lights and sticky plastic tablecloths and chairs. I think the space is entirely too large, as I have never seen it filled to capacity, which gives you the impression that it is not a highly desirable eatery. But, the staff are typically friendly and will do their best to accommodate you, and service, they say, is equal to or more important to a restaurant than their food. One never leaves hungry, and is generally satisfied after eating a meal at Young's, so I wouldn't discourage someone from trying it.

I cannot recommend Taste of Japan highly enough! We had intended to go to an all-you-can-eat Sushi place near this restaurant, and found it packed and with a 20 minute wait. Instead we drove the half a mile to Taste of Japan and found it nearly empty, but gave it a shot anyway. They have a very full menu of Japanese selections but we selected to have the All-you-can-eat sushi choice. For $19.99 there was a bowl of very tasty Miso Soup, and excellent and very fresh Japanese salad with a very tasty dressing, a choice of any appetizer on the menu, and then the waitress brought us each a large plate of very fresh, very good, assorted sushi, nigiri, and sushi rolls. After that she brought two more plates of rolls, different varieties, and then we were very full. It was an excellent meal, and for the price you cant beat it. I highly highly recommend it

The food was great and we tried to much on the recommendations of the host. He really made the visit extraordinary for us. He was kind and lively and we really appreciated his help and hospitality. We will definitely be going back! There is so much else to try on the menu and we really felt welcome there.

A good place, don't let the mall location throw you. Some very good Chinese specialties. We found it to be on the pricey side.

I stopped into this local restaurant yesterday on my way back from some lunch time errands. Although I had never before dined there, I am very familiar with Indian cuisine, as we are fans of that ethnicity and have visited just about every Indian restaurant. As I entered, the hostess recommended that I try the set-price buffet, as it was fast and inexpensive. It contained many of the dishes that I am used to and enjoy, such as the rice, the chicken machni (spelling), the curried spinach dish (saag), Tandoori chicken, and lots more. The buffet actually looked quite decent, with a wide array of dishes. They brought me out a small square take-out dish, as well as a small round bowl with a cover, for things such as sauces, desserts, etc. When I asked for a second one of these small, side dishes so that I could try a sauce AND a dessert, the hostess informed me that I would have to pay extra. Wait a minute! Isnât this an âall-you-can-eat buffet?â Apparently not! (Or else, it is an all-you-can eat buffet, but you must pay if you want âsecondsâ of a dish. Good grief â how much does a small Styrofoam dish cost anyway? Enough to get your customers upset? I guess so!I must admit that once I went through this little episode with the hostess, I started looking for (and finding) other things to not like about the place. The food is OK, but not above average. It is acceptable, but certainly not any better than any other local Indian restaurant. And if you are hungry, or ask them to extend a courtesy to you, expect to be denied. I found this to be extremely annoying, and worthy of a negative consequence in my evaluation. Everything else at this restaurant was about average. I would not recommend dining there.

I was in Rochester visiting my 1st year RIT daughter for Brick City Homecoming, family weekend, and she( having me wrapped around her finger since she was 1 minute old, decided I should take her winter coat shopping, but we needed lunch first and decided to try another new place - Malaysian this time.Coco Garden is at the East end of a shopping center on the North side of 252 and easy to get in and out of.There are quite a few booths in the place and we got one near the front to ourselves, and even though there were several other booths filled up, it was fairly quiet that we could talk to each other, that's a nice treat for Dad!I had a Beef Rendang. Not sure what cut of beef, but the dish was like eating 10 mini hamburger (but not ground beef), with Coconut rice - all very good.My daughter had a Malaysian Sweet & Sour Chicken. I got a couple bites and it was good too.We both also tried bubble tea ( one mango and one Red Bean - we liked the mango better). We were not too sure how to deal with all the black Tapioca balls in the bottom of the glass that we kept sucking up our straws, odd sensation and taste - but OK.If you are in the mood for something a little different give it a try, we liked it.

I had to reveiw this place again because it has gone down hill. First quality of food was poor, meat was fatty and over cooked. Almost seemed reheated. I was very dissapointed. But to top it off the service was terrible. It took forever and our meals were served 10 minutes apart. The hostess was rude when we asked to speed things up. We will not return it was slow, poor quality, over cooked and the lady up front was rude. Too many better places for good Korean in town. This place used to be so good. But not any more.

Honestly a bit underwhelmed by this Thai Restaurant. Ordered my standby Pad See Ew noodle dish and found it greasy with flavor not at the caliber I am used to.My advice to the Restaurant Management is to reduce the menu offerings and let customers choose from what you best prepare.
