We visited here having looked at Trip Advisor and would agree with the majority of the reviews. The restaurant doesnât look anything special from the outside and yes, the internal decor could do with a revamp but itâs clean, and does that matter if youâre there for the food? We were really pleased with the dishes we ordered and all the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. If we are ever in the area again, we will return.

Great, friendly service. Parking nearby. But to be honest the food was average and was a the crispy beef was dry and tough. Rice dish was also disappointing.

This place is slightly above the generally pedestrian level of Chinese restaurants in the area. Out in the countryside, with nice views, and some outside seating in good weather. The menu is slightly different to the usual run of the mill fare that passes for Chinese in England, but I was disappointed that there is no egg foo Yung. There is, however, a small range of dim sum as starters though we didn't try them. We had crispy chicken which was good, as was chef's special fried rice. Less impressive but ok were the sizzling seafood and the satay beef. Gelatos, and banana fritters were very good. Tepid coffee was replaced foc with good grace. Service friendly but slow. The bill for mains, desserts, coffee and tsing Tao beers was £25/head. So the verdict is probably the least worst Chinese in the area.

Worked all day on Saturday on a couple of jobs for friends, so treated myself and my Wife to a Chinese takeaway. The Beijing Cuisine in Helston was recommended to me.Very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. Efficient, helpful and pleasant staff.10 - 15minute 'turn around' from ordering to collecting the food.Obviously the main reason for reviewing the establishment is to mention the extremely good quality of my order!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Beijing Cuisine to everyone, and will 'use' them again if I should be in the Helston area.

Stopped into Anglo Asia last Sunday evening with 2 friends, all of us ordered different starters and mains, with the usual rices/breads and some veggie side dishes....food came out promptly after our beers had arrived, and we were served with a smile!....quality of the food was outstanding!, the prawn puree starter was the best i have ever eaten, and i've eaten them in Indian restaurants up and down the country! All our mains were delicious and we all agreed it was fine dining.Price was more than reasonable, and they also boxed up our leftovers without us asking.Definitely pay this place a visit if you are in Helston and you enjoy quality Indian food!

Eating in the bar offers simple classic food, such as Scotch eggs, Buttermilk chicken & avocado burger, Cornish steak sandwich, or a stunning Porthleven crab salad. Henlys serves an array of fresh, flavoursome dishes, from Seared Scallops sourced just up
Me and the misses have been coming here for months and have never had a bad meal. The Ginger chap behind the gave us exceptional service. Followed by the best burger in TOWN by far which blows boo koos out of the water. The misses is a vegetarian for her sins and henlys catered for her with ease. This bar/restaurant is a nice chilled out venue were if you need to wind down and eat well this is the place to come in helston.Wow! Thank you for this amazing review! We can't take all the credit, our butchers C&E Retallack's supply us with the best quality burgers which are just as outstanding as their amazing steaks (sorry Vegetarian misses!)We hope to have the pleasure to keep welcoming you back!

Seven of us visited this new restaurant. We had previously had a takeaway from Jumunjy several years ago, so were very excited to try the restaurant. The attention to detail that the owners have put into designing the interior is phenomenal - all that's missing is a gecko or two! We were a group consisting of my mum, my husband, our three child and one of their friends. We were interested to see what the children would order (8-12 year olds) but Tristan gave some advice on the menu and we all ordered confidently (eventually, the menu is huge!) The children loved the chicken satay skewers and pork ribs and tried our curry's too. We'll definitely be going back - we haven't stopped talking about it since! Hi Sam,Thank you soo much.. really lovely to hear you all enjoyed your meals your kids are amazing trying all the dishes they will grown up to be great foodies Was lovely to have you hear looking forward to your next visit.. Kota Kai occupies the whole of the top floor of Celtic House and has unbeatable views across Porthleven harbour and beyond. Almost every table in the restaurant benefits from these views as the tables run alongside the many windows at the front of the bui
Booked into Kota Kai as a treat on the last night of our holiday in Porthleven. Duck / Crab Bao Buns as starters, followed by the Cornish Feather Blade Steak / Massaman Curry which were both absolutely delicious. Finished off with Rhubarb Cheesecake / Coconut Panna Cotta with a Mango sorbet which went down a treat.Top food and great service. Definitely recommended.
