ShishaShake is the perfect place to enjoy the art of shisha. We have a relaxing lounge atmosphere with leather sofa seating and relaxing mixed music, ShishaShake lets you unwind and get away from it all. We proudly serve only the highest quality products
This place has a lot of potential, they are joined with the Indian restaurant next door which is amazing (deserves a separate review) however when we moved next door for milkshake and shisha our night was ruined. We were a group of 4 who wanted just 1 shisha pipe as 2 of us were not smokers, and we were refused and told that there needed to be one shisha per two people otherwise we would have to leave! This is just so ridiculous, so the man stood there while we chose and watched us and pressured us to get TWO shisha between 4 of us, otherwise we would of had to leave.. way to ruin a good night.. way too busy in the place and not a very good atmosphere anyway, and they play rubbish on the television. Not a friendly place and over priced milkshakes too.

We visited The Alban on 20th July for a family get together for my son's 21st Birthday. We were a group of 9 with various dietary requirements (2 vegans and 2 vegetarians) and tastes. I posted decorations to The Alban that week and they were happy to put them up and they were also happy for me to bring a birthday cake which they stored whilst we were eating. Everyone was in agreement that the food was amazing and it was also very reasonably priced. The restaurant is a family run business and they couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. Fabulous service!Thank you for your visit and lovely review. We're pleased you and the family enjoyed your visit to The Alban. We work hard behind the scenes to make it work for our patrons. Please do continue to recommend to friends and family alike. We hope to serve you again in the near future. Warm regards, The Alban

I have waited until my fifth visit to rate this restaurant/take away as it is very easy to get carried away with an excellent meal received on a one-off visit, so I can categorically state now that the food and service here is excellent. I have been trying to find a decent Chinese takeaway near to where I live which unfortunately doesnât exist and so I ventured out as far as Brookmans Park to find this gem. Admittedly there is little by way of parking locally but thatâs not the fault of the restaurant, however once inside you are made very welcome if only to select a take away meal. To date I have sampled Kung Po chicken, Singapore noodles, egg fried rice, chicken chow main, smoked chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls, Malay curry, salt and chilli spare ribs and chicken wings, and lemon chicken all of which have been excellent. This restaurant also offers value for money; you may pay a little more than an average Chinese, but the food is not average and the quantity is outstanding for the price. I donât hesitate in awarding five stars.

Excellent service.Really helpful waitress Charlie who helped young Tayah tailor a dish to include her favourite ingredients.Around £20 per head. Great choice of dishes. Fresh as you like sashimi.Dozens of dishes I would like to have tried. So we shall return.Tricky to find on the second floor of the arcade down the covered walkway to the south of market square. But well worth it.Itâs next to the Town Inn pub.Highly recommended.

Stumbled across this little gem whilst working away and missing a good curry. Fantastic authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine! We visited 3 times in one week and tried various dishes which were all amazing especially a Nepalese paneer dish we tried. Great service too! This place is a most try if your fancy a good authentic curry. The Turan is reasonable priced to.

Despite there not being many customers, we waited well over half an hour to have our order taken. Two women dining together seemed to have a cloak of invisibility! The food was pretty bland and tasteless compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. The only positive is that it has a 5* food hygiene rating. Oh yes, and it was very noisy (probably due to the poor acoustics). Will not bother with it again.Dear Jackie,We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. We donât tend to take orders as soon as you are seated, please feel free to signal the waiters should you decide to visit again, who will promptly attend to you. It was a busy Saturday Night, which included a Birthday Celebration. We are aware it may have got noisy, which we tried to keep to a minimum but sometimes this is a little outside of our control. We can only apologies if this disturbed your meal.If you would like to discuss the visit any further then please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards Rasel

Early evening visit after day out at nearby museum. Enjoyed potato bondas and lamb kebab starters followed by KOLHAPURI GARLIC CHILLI CHICKEN and BUFFALO SHATKORA with a sag paneer side and a couple of nans. Staff are friendly and helpful and food was excellent; a really enjoyable meal.

All day casual dining restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch, craft beers and house matured cocktails and dinner.
We thought we would try this new restaurant after reading some good reviews as we are very partial to Indian cuisine. What a very agreeable surprise we had. We started with the basket of mini Papadums and crispy Namak Pare which were very crispy and tasty. Our starter course was Bhinki Jaipuri and Baigan Tikki both of which we had never had before and we loved them. Our main courses were Salmon Tikka and chicken Hyderabadi Biryani. Again very different and delicious. We will definitely be returning very soon to try some different dishes.
