This little restaurant is a real gem. The food is delicious and it is priced right (inexpensively). The soups and salads are delicious, as are the entrees. It is a comfortable place, not fancy, but functional- just like the food-not fancy, but yummy.

AO Sushi specializes in fresh sushi, sashimi, and fish. We have convenient ready to go options as well as customized orders.
Great option for sushi, as it's cheaper here than other local places and very good. The trays are good for families or groups. They also sell fresh fish.

How did we miss it? In the same off-Waukegan Rd mall that contains Panera Bread and Giordano's (pizza), Jewel Osco et al. It's not a street mall and is situated with ample parking. Very clean, open, inviting seating, tables nicely spaced, in a moderately sized dining area with clear sight of kitchen. The tables were quite clean, set nicely with forks and nicely designed black chopsticks, neatly wrapped...a touch of extra tasteful care and presentation. The decor and floor plan were far superior to many of the hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurants in the area that clearly cater to express food, take out junkies. (Very misleading to characterize the restaurant as a "just a small place in a street mall" IMO! ) Despite some wariness of the wide ranging "Asian" offerings (Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese) I asked the very courteous host a few questions re the cuisine options. I settled on the pad thai (shrimp additional), Thai national dish, which I use as a barometer whenever first dining at a Thai restaurant. The price seemed somewhat on the high side...but well worth it as I estimate the large and savory portion contained ten ample sized shrimp (take home provided a second dinner the next night.) My wife also chose a Thai noodle dish, a Chow fuun green curry, with shrimp. Generous and also destined for a take home meal the next evening. What was surprising was the fast delivery to our table, which did not sacrifice quality of the noodles, nor the dishes. There were five tables occupied, by the way, one with 7 folks and another with four, largely Asian, on a Sunday evening. Each table was taking its time with casual, friendly sharing of food and discourse. There was a brisk but moderate take-out service, unobtrusive at the counter near the entrance. Having sought unsuccessfully to find a local Thai restaurant of superior quality, it was a pleasant find. Look forward to trying other of their pan-Asian meals!

Very good Chinese decorService fast and owner was easy to communicate with, very honest service to the many patrons Twice cooked pork belly lunch special was very good, spiced appropriately, but I must say their hot and sour soup was my favorite, very flavorful and peppery.

Nice people. Good service. Fresh ingredients.I always order the cashew chicken and I'm always a happy camperwhen it comes. While waiting, a cucumber salad seems perfect. Beer and wineavailable.Reasonably priced. Quiet. Seating includes three booths, and about ten other tables. Also, there's a veritable "sea of free parking" nearby.Best Thai experience on the North Shore. Can Thai food ever be "excellent"? Probably, but Thai Inbox is "very good", regardless.

We were really impressed with the service and food! The steak was so tender and served cubed on a sushi platter. We loved the different play on mainstream entrees. We will be back!

This is a friendly and well-run restaurant. Prices are reasonable. I had the healthy combination that started with miso soup. The plate included a California roll, gomai (spinach, which I asked to have the sauce left off because it's a bit sweet), seafood salad with cucumbers, and ample tofu steak. My wife had the changpong, a spicy noodle dish that she found lacking.

The Palace Chinese Restaurant is located at 9236 Waukegan Rd. in Morton Grove and it is part of a small strip mall. There is more than adequate parking and there is easy access, both, in to and out of the parking lot. We ate there, so we were seated immediately. The restaurant is a typical family-owned restaurant and about the only issue that I observed was that the decor might be a bit tired. The restaurant specializes in Cantonese cuisine, which is what we usually like. The crab Rangoon were really good and well-filled. The egg rolls were very good, as well. We ordered a Mongolian beef and a combination fried rice. Everything really tasted really good. The prices were more than reasonable.

You are offered hot tea as soon as you are seated (included with the meal). If you are a first-timer, the menu is fairly easy to understand....and if not, the waiters are very helpful. You will get banchan (side dishes/appetisers) and you get refills. The choices we had were corn, cucumber, radish, bean sprouts, kimchee, and fish cakes with shrimp. The soonbudu had the creamiest, softest tofu I have ever tasted. The bibimbap was as good as any I've had anywhere. The portions are generous and there were enough leftovers for a second meal.So Gong Dong Tofu and BBQ is located in Park Point Place and you may have to circle, but there is enough parking. Don't give up.

I just returned from visiting Blufish Sushi Bistro after a long absence. I was delighted to see that they have enlarged and expanded their restaurant considerably. The new place is far roomier and more spacious, as well as being more attractive. The food was just excellent. The menu is quite extensive. There are plenty of interesting options on the menu. Our waitress was efficient, courteous and quite charming. We were served quickly.
