Reviews on Asian food in Glastonbury, England, United Kingdom. Generally a quiet place graced with lovely terrain for strolling, Glastonbury is very busy in the summer because of its music festival. Best known for contemporary music, the festival has attracted almost 200,000 people in recent years (whereas Glastonbury's full-time population is only 9,000 or so). There are a number of historical monuments to see in the area, including Glastonbury Lake Village, Glastonbury Abbey and the Somerset Rural Life Museum. We can't say that the weather is always good, but on a sunny day you can't go wrong!

The Riverside Indian Restaurant provides a tremendous choice of exceptional quality Indian meals with very traditional Indian flavours. Specially picked spices and the expertise of our chef made RiverSide Indian Fusion a unique name in its kind. To enjoy
Well....it was a birthday meal and it wasnât that special. It came highly recommended on Facebook when someone asked for suggestions on the best Indian restaurant. Some of the meals were nice, however some of the food was cold and flavourless. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to clear the table so we could sit down We then had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for food....Other tables waited ages and they also got wrong food and missing items..!!£96....!!They were rude and blunt but felt sorry for the gentleman server as he seemed to be getting it in the neck but he was clearly fighting a loosing battle. We wonât be returning.Plus we all now have dodgy stomachs

We couldnât decide between Oriental Chef (across the road) and Peking Palace, since they seemed to get much the same ratings on Trip Advisor. Peking Palace won out, since it opened earlier, and we had a menu. There were three of us, so we decided to opt for the set vegetarian menu and augment it with extra spring rolls, crispy seaweed, an extra helping of rice, and some crackers. This proved to be more than enough, and we had almost sufficient for a second full meal.Other reviewers report an unduly lengthy wait, so we decided to order and collect the meal on the premises rather than to have it delivered. The proprietor said the order would take ten minutes: in fact, it was ready in just over five.We were extremely pleased with the food â all absolutely delicious. I would certainly recommend the sweet and sour tofu. Iâm not normally a fan of noodles, but I think Peking Palace has converted me!I donât know whether the competitor across the road is as good, but I think Peking Palace would be difficult to better.By the way, it may be useful to know that they do not accept cards â only cash.

We all enjoyed our takeaway from Wings last night, delivered on time, hot and tasty food. We had spring rolls, king prawn dishes and chicken chow mien with egg fried rice. All the food was a high standard and deserves praise for an efficient delivery service which was extremely prompt, thank you.

I love tofu, and the oriental chef in Glastonbury has several options all suitable for vegans, including one with ginger and one in black bean sauce, and they can adapt other vegetarian dishes to make them vegan as well. There are several Chinese takeaways in Glastonbury and nearby Street, but this is the only one I use regularly...the cost and the quality are both excellent, and unlike many others they don't use MSG in their cooking which is handy for many people to know. Portion sizes are good, and there is plenty of tofu in the meal, and it is of the chewy, slightly sweet variety that I really like but can never quite master at home. My only criticism is that the spring rolls are actually too big, so are best ordered to be shared rather than each.

We had the set lunch menu, you get a choice of starter (we had satay and ribs) and then a main with rice for £9.95. We had the chilli beef and Thai green chicken curry and ordered an extra main of chicken pad Thai. All the food tasted fresh and authentic. Really delicate flavours. We thought it was very good value and will be back the next time we visit Clarkâs Village, this is much tastier than the restaurants in there! Great service as well and interesting tables!

Staff were professional, decor clean and contemporary, food very good. The reason for marking down was the simple fact I ordered a chicken dish and received prawns. They were willing to replace but then the rest of the meal is on the table and partner eating so I accepted the error having mentioned it to the server.I would have expected this item to be deducted or at least a free drink or something to compensate for the error but no attempt was made to find a way to address this.
