We stopped by this casual place close to Girona's old town for some sushi and loved it so much that we returned two more times. The sushi was some of the best I've ever had; it just melts in your mouth! Make sure to try sushi rolls 1 and 8âthe best!!!As for the decor, it's not typically Japanese, but modern neutral.

Had the fixed lunch menu at â¬14.90. âPokeâ rice bowl (a lunch in itself - I had chicken the wife had salmon) was excellent. Then a sushi selection. 3 standard sushi, one with Japanese veg, one with strawberry and another with mango. Interesting. Still undecided! Lovely mango ice cream for dessert.Menu included a glass of very good house wine and water. Service somewhat on the slow side but, in fairness, that may have been our view because we were in a rush!Iâd go back.

I found Girona a bit of a nightmare as a vegetarian .So many restaurants all with meat products included and the Veggie ones a bit overpriced and a bit pretentious.I wanted a meal,a plateful ! The Taj did the job perfectly and we ate there every evening and it was great freshly cooked food lots of choice reasonably priced and served by the lovely waiter called Smiley .He was very kind very helpful in deciding our choices and he just kept us happy .We didnât even try any other restaurants .Yes I know we should have been eating Catalan but it simply proved too difficult .It was a pleasure to serve you, thanks for the review.
