Expected to have the best in Boise, mistake!Next time I will know. People rated it 4.4 I ordered chicken pho, which was not even on the menu. Should have just left right then. Chicken broth, didn't even taste like chicken broth...waters down. Go elsewhere next time.

I was excited to try Sakana and it was very good. The restaurant was very clean and the food served fresh and hot. I had sushi rolls that were fresh and a good value, 3 for 12.00. We just missed the lunch menu and it appeared to have some really great deals on it. We also had tempura that was very crispy and delicious. The menu appears to have all Japanese foods on it, not a combination of other Asian foods as so many local Asian restaurants do. So be prepared for Japanese foods only, which was perfect for us! The ginger dressing was a bit too sweet for my flavor. The service was very nice and informative and I look forward to returning soon!

I was visiting relatives and wanted to take them someplace special and memorable. I know my grandkids like going to our local Japanese Steak House so I searched and found Kyoto in the Boise area. Took the whole family including my 2 & 5 year old great nephews. They had a blast and a huge smile on their face the entire time. Prices were very reasonable, service was great and food was good.
