Very good. Place has been completely repainted and is very clean. Toilets spotless. A bit short staffed on our visit - (only one waitress who also helped in kitchen.) Chef was GF aware, presentation of the meal was excellent, food was delicious, I'd go back.
Decided last minute to go out for dinner and rocked up to this gem of a restaurant. Luckily they gave us a table without a booking, even though they were quite busy. We quickly realised there were two menus, one for Chinese and one for Teppanyaki. We ordered from the Teppanyaki and it cost roughly 15 quid for a miso soup, Chef's starter, egg fried rice and my main (Chicken Teriyaki). The food was incredible - best rice I've ever had. There is an option to eat your food in the Teppanyaki section of the restaurant, where you get to see them making the food etc. but unfortunately you have to book for this or wait for the next 'show'. However, I do have to admit the dessert was terrible but the waiter mentioned that their dessert menu was getting a revamp. I'm hoping they remove their stale chocolate fudge cake entirely! Will definitely be returning and booking the Teppanyaki 'show'.

We usually travel to aberdeen for thai food, but love this place now, great prices, and a really good choice of items off then menu, the only down side, was that they only took cash when we went, but food was amazing

Empty Restaurant, beautifully decorated, welcomed by a guy in outdoor clothes, lights switched on, music turned on, heating turned on, and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. Menu choice was good, food was ok, apart from prawn smelling a bit strong, dishes were served on cold plates, service was also on the cool side. A bit pricey for what you get. Don't think I will return.

A traditional vendor of chines cuisine, unusual pr-order buffet which delivers piping hot great food, friendly helpful servers, all four of us were impressed.

This restaurant is now renamed Panache and we visited on a wet lunchtime a couple of months ago. Our visit was the first for us since the namechange and it was surprisingly quiet considering how well it had recently done in the National Curry Awards, for which it had achieved some good press publicity. We enjoyed our lunch but Elgin is blessed with a couple of other very good Indian restaurants so the competition is tough. We will return.

I doubt if there is anywhere in Elgin where you will get a better value lunch than the two courses offered at £7.95.The lunchtime menu gives a good range of options. Service was quick and friendly and both our lunches were very enjoyable. The only drawback is gaining entry to the restaurant. There is a very steep set of stairs from the street to the dining area which could cause problems to anyone with mobility issues.

Qismat is a busy licensed Indian restaurant, popular with locals and visitors to the area. Offering a wide choice of dishes, mainly curries and tandoori dishes, but also much more. We also have a special 3 course lunchtime menu available. Every Mondays we
Elgin is not the most blessed when it comes to good eating places, although variety and standards have certainly improved over the past few years. Quismat is one of our favourites as the surroundings, food and service are all of a very high standard.

Ate here on a Friday night and it was fairly quiet. The chicken puri and onion bhaji were lovely but the mixed pakora was dreadful. The chicken and aubergine pakoras were covered in an extremely thick and dry batter that my husband just couldnât eat. The aubergine slice inside was about 2mm thick! Complained about the batter and the waitress said they always serve it like that and called in cake!! Mmm. Thankfully they did not charge us for that starter. The main meals were tasty enough and the colcha nan was beautiful!! The service couldâve been a bit quicker. Had to wait a bit too long to order then far too long for the bill. I wouldnât return.
