This was a total surprise. We decided to stop in for dinner after shopping nearby and to be honest not expecting much of the place but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered sushi for ourselves and my son decided to get a teriyaki beef. Sushi was a total surprise. Most similar places either put in too much rice or fish isn't fresh this time we got fresh fish that tasted wonderfully and rice was just the right amount (enough to taste but not enough to overwhelm) so overall we enjoyed it very much!

Went here one night we didn't feel like cooking. Sit down dining area was not real busy but this place has a very busy takeout. All of the food we ordered came out hot and very tasty and large portions. The girl that waited on us did a good job and checked back on us many times. So be it sit down or takeout this place is good. By the way pricing wasn't bad either. We will be going back soon.

Had Sunday Lunch. Nice decor. Extensive menu. Great place if you like sushi but the ones with you do not, nice selection of "cooked" sushi. Had sushi, fixed as it should be.What was really good was the tempura cheese cake; best dessert I have had in a long time. Kind of like fried ice cream except with a creamy cheesecake. Fantastic. Will defeinietly go back. Not hard to find, but on a side street so you would not find it unless you were looking for it.

My family does not do a traditional Christmas celebration, and we have found this restaurant is an excellent substitute for the normal turkey and stuffing fare. It's quiet and the service is adequate. The menu is varied and the food is tasty. Everyone in the family seems happy with the wide selection of foods (Chinese, Japanese and Thai.) I have also used them for lunches. I don't care for Japanese food, but others in my family do, and they are happy with the sushi they have tried.

The resteraunt itself is no frills and simple. We ordered the mandu(fried dumplings), which was cooked perfectly. They brought out a bowl of steamed eggs as an appetizer. For the entree we ordered the bulgogi and galbi combo. Both meats were marinated wonderfully and tasted great. Another good thing about this place is the sides are self serve buffet style. I would highly recommend this place for anything look to eat authentic korean food.

Outstanding --most freshest and unique dishes of sushi, salads, rolls and more. The owner greeted us himself at the table and fully explained all the wonderful specials he had for the day. The presentation was plated to perfection with a myriad of flavors. I think if you're not familiar with trying sushi, this would be a real learning experience for you --and opportunity to try something new. The setting was extremely clean and comfortable. Easy parking on street.

Let me preface my review to explain that having lived 15 years in Japan, I am a very discerning connoisseur of Japanese cuisine. In 2013 Sogo was awarded best sushi restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. I don't think their sushi would merit that accolade today. My husband and I went there for Valentine's Day. The service was excellent and I was presented with a rose and we both got a delicious complimentary plum wine and champagne cocktail called Kimono. My fried squid salad was a disappointment. The bed of greens seemed limp and the chewy squid was overwhelmed by a too sweet dressing. The sashimi and sushi that we ordered was adequate but the quality of fish was not exceptional. Although it was Valentine's Day three of the six chocolate dessert choices were not available. The server apologized saying the desserts are delivered on Thursdays. Poor planning. My impression overall was that this restaurant has lowered its standards and needs some freshening up and closer attention to fresh made sushi and sashimi.

This place was recommended to us by the owner of Boser Geist, a local brewhaus. Our first experience was excellent, and we look forward to going back soon. The great first impressions lasted all the way through. 1001 is in a well-maintained historic building. Beautiful planters greet you by the front door. The seating is intimate, the walls are bright, the large windows are clean, and there are fresh flowers on every table - so simple it is luxurious. The ample regular menu offers selections for carnivores to vegans. The specials menu caught our eye with a modern take on spring rolls: avocado and sun dried tomato - absolutely delicious in meticulously wrapped crust. For entrees we tried chicken with bamboo shoots and ground pork with vegetables. Both meals were excellently executed - the attention to detail in the slicing, dicing, plating is to be noted. Prices are reasonable for this quality of food, and BYOB makes it even more affordable. A gentleman, who we assume was the owner, visited each table to chat a little. The personal touch is appreciated. The restroom was very clean - vital to this reviewer. The young woman who served us was reserved and pleasant. The music was subdued and appropriate, and added to the relaxed ambiance. Can't wait to go back ...

Award winning modern American cuisine, in a welcoming and warm atmosphere with an eclectic and unique wine and cocktail list and consistent service.
Stopped in mid week for our 24th anniversary dinner. As usually excellent martini. Food is always great. Since I dont eat seafood, I switch between the filet and short rib. My wife enjoyed her fish special. Food is always good but sometimes you feel cramped when the place is busy.
