My friends bring my wife and I to Taka Sushi Japanese Restaurant every time we are up to visit them. The place has the best food, and their prices are very reasonable. Service is average when they are busy but it's worth the wait.
We visited with a party of five (four Filipino-born) and everyone enjoyed it immensely. We shared family style and the favorites were: huge barbecued pork skewers, grilled pork belly, pancit malabon (Filipino noodles), and pinakbet (vegetable stew). We had übe ice cream for dessert. The price was reasonable and the service was fast and friendly. Ray, the owner, even came out to chat. This small, friendly restaurant keeps getting better.

a group of 4 of us stopped by on a cold night for dinner. Parking is on the street. We were lucky to find parking close by. It is a very small restaurant. It only seats around 30 people. We squeezed into our tables and enjoyed some beer. The spring rolls were quite tasty. The samosa chaat was a little too bland. The soups were great - hot and spicy. We shared the fried rice, the vegetable Manchurian and chili panner. The food was good. The panner was salty but we were able to get it replaced. Our friend had the goat achari which was pretty good. The service was just okay - the waiter was neither friendly nor prompt. But the food was good and we would try it again if we are in the area.

Looking for something different to celebrate a birthday and decided to give Izumi a try. We have been to other hibachi restaurants, but more for the show than the quality of the food. Izumi provides both the show and very good food. We had the Gyoza dumplings which were excellent and various hibachi dinners from steak, chicken and shrimp. We had one rice allergy and they substituted noodles. The prices and service was also good.

My wife & I ordered take-out. I got the Eel Avocado and Crazy Tuna rolls. Both wonderful. My wife loved her Shrimp Tempura rolls. We shared chicken fried rice. The restaurant itself looks quaint. It has about 12 or so tables. Nice atmosphere, but again, I got take-out.We'll probably go there to eat, next time. Oh, and the only reason I didn't give it an "excellent" rating is that this was our first time.

I honestly don't know how this establishment has so many great reviews. I decided to try Hunan Dynasty looking for something new and was really excited to place my first order. I ordered Chicken LoMein, General Tso's Chicken, Beef & Scallions and Pork Pan Fried Dumplings. I received a free order of Sesame Cold Noodles for spending enough money. First, all the noodle dishes were complete mush. The dumpling dough was also complete mush, swimming in oil with a flavorless filling. The General Tso's chicken would have the General questioning this recipe as it tasted like soggy battered chicken drenched in a watery duck sauce. The Beef with Scallions was more like Onions with a few scallions and even less beef. The LoMein was dry flavorless mush where the noodles were actually still white from the lack of sauce. The only decent dish, if we can say decent was the Beef Chow Fun, those noodles were cooked well although it also lacked sauce and beef. The free Sesame cold noodles was spoiled, it smelled so bad and was so slimy..just thinking about it still makes me wretch. You couldn't pay me to eat at this place again, it was that bad. Beware, as I question the validity of these reviews.
