Discover Restaurants offering the best Asian food in Delft, South Holland Province, The Netherlands. Vermeer’s birthplace and a true gem, Delft sits between The Hague and Rotterdam in the country’s southwest. The city’s name comes from the Dutch word for digging, fitting since canals are a highlight here. Others include the 13th-century Old Church, the 15th-century New Church and the Prinsenhof, once home to William of Orange and now a museum. Delft has long been a center for fine ceramics, and traditional hand painting methods can still be witnessed at Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles.

We'd read that the restaurant was particularly good for vegetarians and vegans and the service lived up to this - we were recommended a range of different dishes with substitutions from the set menu if things weren't suitable (without prompting from us!).This was our first visit to an Indonesian restaurant and we'll definitely be back

Restaurant Umai was recommended by some colleagues. They said the sushi here was much better than the other all-you-can-eat sushi places in nearby cities. And you know what, they were absolutely right! The sushi was much clear tasting and the fried/baked dishes has less sauce on it, which made it better. At other places these dishes would be overwhelming by the taste of the sauce. The only downing is also the thing which make them good. Since the taste was noticeable more clear and less aromatic than other restaurant, the dishes which requires a powerful taste was lacking a bit. But it was luckily just a few dishes and if I had to choose too much or lesser taste, I would definitely choose lesser. Also when you are not from Delft, the location might not be the best. But the quality food will compensate that.A thing that must be noted, is that the service was friendly and great. The host was helpful and the waiters/waitresses were quick and accurate. So for all citizens of Delf, or just all-you-can-eat (sushi) lovers, restaurant Umai is definitely a recommended place. This is said by a food lover which has already ate a lot of asian dishes in different countries. Also born and raised as an asian!

Atithi - The Hash Eatery Restaurant is the very first and exclusive Vegetarian Indian Fast Food Restaurant opened in Delft, Netherlands! All the food items are freshly prepared. Most of the spices and other ingredients even Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese)
I've been to India and I really like Indian food in India. Was not sure if I could get authentic qualified Indian food in Holland. Went to try Atithi in a Thursday evening. Locates next to A13, was easy to find. It's not a big place, but neat and clean. Simple Manu, only chicken, egg, and vege. These are good signs for being authentic Indian restaurant. And they are!Had garlic naan, kadhai chicken, and Lassi. Great taste, almost the same as I had in India. I give it five stars!

A very fine indian restaurant with delicious indian cuisines, situated since 1991 in the heart of Delft, nieuwe kerk, South Holland .
Had a lovely very hot Madras beef curry here. It was supposed to be very hot and it was as Europeans think they like hot food and are surprised when it really is hot. The portions were generous, staff polite and if you're lucky get a table with a window view over the canal outside. i wwas definately worth it and I'd come again.

As other reviewers have noted, the food is on display at the counter and you pick out what you want and they heat it up and bring it to you. There are simple tables and sparse decoration but the quality of the food (and the variety) made it a good choice. The two people working there were happy to answer any of our questions and they were happy that we enjoyed it so much.

I like rijstaffels very much, my partner selected this restaurant based on tripadvisor reviews, I wa very disappointed, based on many rijstaffels eaten over the last 40 years or so. There was no choice of the different levels as there usually is. I was not impressed by the assemblage of dishes or the range of flavours - the appear every of chicken drumsticks turned me off. The food arrived in disproportionately large dishes. The dishes were not heated and consequently went cold quite quickly. The wine was OK. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was very busy, indicating that it is popular, particularly it seemed by Dutch people. In my view this restaurant could be much improved by producing a greater variety of dishes and flavours, not overwhelmed by the containers and heated.

Relaxed and informal, small family owned restaurant serving a set daily menu at a fixed price.
This is a popular restaurant with a set menu of soup, followed by small portions of meat, chicken, fish, vegetables and rice, and then fruit. It's not spicy but always fresh and tasty. It's a shame that the waiting time is ridiculous. They are understaffed and it's hard to even get a drink refill during your long wait. It's often full but you can reserve if you have an evening to spare!

We tried the local food and love it but one night decided to try something a little different. Thai in the Netherland. It was great. Servers were efficient and prices reasonable. Decor really nice.
